Celebrating with Mickey and Co - Day 6

As the weather looked to be in the mid 80’s today we thought Blizzard Beach sounded just right. Due to opening being at 10am we decided to go to Boma at AKL for brekkie As we guessed in May last year the work on the entrance road was for a new gatehouse due to the construction of Kidani Village.

Once at AKL we went to Boma and were seated within about 10 minutes. First stop was the cooked breakfast for both of us.

Then I had the carved ham and some omelette.

Nathan had some fruit.

I couldn’t resist the Mickey waffle!

Nathan then finished with some toast and jam plus a biscuit!

After brekkie we took a look around and went to check on the progress of Kidani Village.

Kidani Village is looking good and can’t wait to stay there in 2010. We got to BB just before 11am and found a nice spot to the back of the main pool but under some trees. We then hopped onto the lazy river and wow it was quiet at times.

After this we sat in the sun for a while. I then had a walk around the park and took some pictures.

As we left at 3pm we noticed the temperature was 82f

After a shower at the studio we headed off to the Mall at Millenia and had a good look around the shops before the Cheesecake factory was calling too loudly to ignore! We started with some crispy crab wontons.

Then came the bread.

I had the lemon herb roasted chicken.

While Nathan had the Hawaiian pizza.

Luckily we had saved enough room and shared a slice of chocolate mousse cheesecake.

We then drove back to SSR and decided that tomorrow we would go to Universal Studios.

Claire, I take my hat off to you and Nathan. I thought I could put away food on a vacation, but even I have never managed quite that many courses in a single breakfast. It's a good thing a bit of time passed between AKL and BB allowing for proper digestion before jumping in the lazy river where I fear you might have sunk, inner tube and all. Report nicely done and once again, excellent photos.

Yes there is always something going on somewhere, often it is quite small but usually well disguised if possible.
