I decided to have a bit of a pity party over the weekend. Mother's Day is always rough for me and it's the 10th aniversary of not celebrating Mother's Day....so, hence the pity party.

But, back to the grindstone, pull up my bootstraps and all that.....

I wasn't able to do as much as i tohught last night as I got an email from a colleague at my old office about a new position. So, I spent most of last night applying for it. I'm surprised they didn't want to take a blood sample and fingerprints.

I did, however, was able to start updating the December TR front page with direct links to the individual posts in the TR. Boy, do I have alot! I do give people fair warning, though.

I also did start transcribing my notes for this March TR. I was also able to upload the first days of photos last night, so I'm getting there!

March 2: I still had to babysit CJ after work, so I got home around 11pm. Thankfully, I was able to make my “cast member thank yous” with my sister’s laminator in time as well as I was already packed for the most part. You'll remember them from my previous trip reports. For thse of you who don't know, it is the Home Depot paint samples.

I did all my last minute stuff and unfortunately, just could not get to sleep, so I just dressed in my clothes. I was going to be picked up by the car service in a few hours anyway. LOL! I laid down and shut my eyes anyway just to rest & relax.

March 3: my car service came and off we go to the airport! The guy was nice but talkative and missed Terminal A TWICE. Granted, it’s not the busy terminal, but it’s still there. If you remember, I decided to book with JetBlue instead of my usual Continental, just to shake things up a bit.

I was getting nervous as I like getting there early to make sure if anything goes wrong, I’m all prepared. We finally get there about 5:50am-ish. There was a semi-long & slowish line for Bag Drop. JetBlue only had 3 people working (whereas Continental would have had 7-10 people, but granted it would have been a bigger line). I got a regular boarding pass, so I’m not too sure why I had to check-in online, if I had to just get it on a line and get a paper boarding pass, but let’s move on.

I finished and went to get on the security line, which was tucked into a little corner. It was like the country cousin in comparison to the big bustling city that is Terminal C. I passed through and finally got to my gate. I had just enough time to get some Starbuck’s Chai Tea Latte and they started calling the passengers. Boarding took forever (it was going to Orlando, after all), but the employees were very nice & funny. And, the best part was, there was no one in the middle seat next to me! Score!

so far, it has been quite the experience with flying on jetblue; so used to a diff terminal & fast pace. hoping the best for flight!

We were delayed for de-icing and I had a kid behind me really liked knocking my seat. Thankfully, he was then fascinating by the orange goo being sprayed all over the plane. At this point, I’ve been up for 24 hours and I did manage to cat nap on the plane a bit.

so far, flight is on time even tho it doesn't look very good outside my jet plane window....woot! jetblue

We land on time and I make my way through the throngs of kids & strollers to the people mover to get to Magical Express land. Apparently, there is no need to stop at the counter anymore; I was told to go straight to the line podium. I was barely there and off to a bus I go. We were soon off and the first stop was POP.

I walked into POP to a ‘80s dance party! So cute! I got into the online check-in, waited a moment and found out my room was ready! How awesome is that?! Now, I don’t have to check-in my carry-on. I asked whether I got a refurbished room and the CM looked at me like I was crazy. I gave up on the question since clearly she didn’t know.

I got to my room in the ‘70s building, first floor #0105 after getting crazy lost. I thought I know how to get there from the CM’s instruction but nope, I didn’t. I had to ask several people where it was. And no, it was not a refurbed room, but still nice. I took a few pics of the room and then removed my contacts for a few minutes to help my eyes a bit. I got myself ready with my parkbag as I am heading out to a park! But first, the famous food court!

At the food court, I had the tuna salad, iced tea and made sure, I picked up the tie-dyed cheesecake!

The cheesecake was super yummy and the tuna salad very good. The food court is behind the gift shop (those Disney people are smart!), which just happened to still have the holiday vinylmations and there was only 4 left. So, I had to.

Due to my purchases, I returned to my room. My room did end up close & convenient to Classic Hall and the buses. At my room, I discovered my luggage was already delivered. Score! I’m a happy girl now.

I waited awhile, but finally an Animal Kingdom bus made it. I’m heading there to experience my first EMH night at Animal Kingdom. I tried playing around with Mobile Magic application, but one really needs to be in the park.

I, of course, went for the Photopass CM in the front of AK. After entering the park, I took the “must do” pic of the grandest tree in the land.

I then headed for Kilimanjaro Safari; the wait time was listed as 10 minutes, so I decided to walk the queue line for the first time instead of Fastpass’ing it as I have done all previous times on this ride. I didn’t take as many pictures as I would have liked in the queue as many people entered after me.

The carpet in the room? I think it was just cleaned. It had a funky, but not bad smell.
