Celebrating Mother's Day 2009... WE'RE HERE!!! update 5/11

DH got his birthday present yesterday (the segway tour) and he absolutly loved it He is even more excited to go now!!! I have no pictures b/c his nephew was helping him open it and took it out of the box and smashed it on the ground As much as I love that little boy... he is such a terror!!! To Make it worse... when he did all his parents did was laugh about it... with "awww look he thinks its a cane!!!" Sometimes I wish I could let them have a piece of my mind!!!! but I always tell myself it's not worth it... they're still going to be family (taking deep deep breaths in)
For a discription. I cut 2 circles, a 1" x 12" strip, and a 4"x6" box out of card board. I attatched the wheels together with a wooden dowel, and hot glued the box (foot step) onto the dowel. Then I used the strip for the front piece and another wooden dowel for the handle bar. I finished by painting the whole thing black. I made a ticket that said "Admit one: Around the World at EPCOT" He was speechless when he opened it!!! He was so excited it made me fall in love all over again!!! He never gets exctied about anything, and normally I can't suprise him, so it made it more special that he had NOOO idea about what he was getting.

On another note:
Hopefully this week we will book our room for Friday night in Savannah, GA. We are looking at several different ones in Savannah, so we just have to nail down a price and book it!!!! WOOT WOOT

I cannot believe it... 1 month from tomarrow we leave

I think what you did to surprise him sounds so awesome. I'm sorry that it was ruined. Don't let the IL's get to ya. It's so not worth it. I still haven't decided to book the segway tour. I need to do something pretty quick though if I'm going to do it.

We are so excited!!! If you don't decide to do it you should def do the try it area inside inoventions. I'm not sure which side it is on, but you can test ride them to see how you feel on them. The whole week had openings when I called and booked ours 2 weeks ago, if that makes you feel any better!
Oh BTW... thanks for the note about the IL's. It definetly is tough. My sister-in-law despises me!!! We were really good friends until my now DH and I started dating, and then she did a complete 180 She says that I portray this image to the rest of the family that I'm "perfect" and they just don't know how I actually am, and that I'm the biggest brat she's ever known I just say whatever (insert eye roll and chuckle) lol

If you have AP, Disney Visa, or AAA you get 15% discount. It may count on DVC as well, but I'm not sure. HTH

I know how you feel about your SIL. I have an ex-friend who is married to my husband's brother. She introduced me to my husband and after we got married she became a total witch. She told my ILs all kinds of lies, but ya know what that is OK. That was 22 years ago and I could care less what my ILs think of me. It is their problem to deal with not mine.

I have never been to Savannah, but I always check out the hotel on Tripadvisor to see what others have to say about it before I book. Some of the reviews are kinda silly with the complaints, but alot of them will give you an idea of the area and how clean the hotel may be. You would be surprised with how some of the nicest resorts have bad reviews due to lack of cleanliness.

Well we finally made a reservation for Thursday night in Savannah. After Mom and I discussing it all day, we've decided on Wingate. I was going to do La Quinta or Best Western b/c they were 20 to 30 dollars cheaper, and since we aren't going to get there til about 1am, all I care is there a clean bed to lay in, but Mom wanted to put the extra and know it's nice. It's not bad though. I ended up with 2 king rooms for $160, and since I booked through ebates I will get $4 back. Def not substancial but it adds up. Here are some pictures from wingate's sight of out hotel.

I am so excited I have been doing disney planning stuff all day, and I have a feeling it's going to be like this, and only get worse the closer it gets!!! I printed my pages for my binder today so all I need to do is put that together then I'll take some pictures and post. I also need to take some pictures of my countdown.
I've been in denial about it fastly approaching b/c I wanted to have more weight off before we went, but I've decided if I could lose 15 more pounds before we leave I will be very happy! It hit me like a brink wall when I had my countdown hanging and DH looked at it and said "uh hunnie, don't you need to start moving us down your countdown?"

Just wanted to say that we stayed at Westgate the last two years. There are pics of it in my TR's if ya wanted to check them out. It is a very pretty and friendly place. The only issue that creeped us out was the last time we stayed there we noticed one morning that there were hundreds of little bitty ants or something crawling along the back of our bed right below the mirror and all along the wall over to the huge tub. We called them right away and they did have someone come spray that day and got rid of them but it was a little too creepy for me. It wouldn't probably have kept us from going back on it's own because it was generally a real clean place. The thing that we don't want to go back there for is the 'short' timeshare talks. I hope that you don't have to do one of these. They ruined our days on both trips, even the last one when supposedly we didn't have to do a timeshare thing.

I'm sure you will have a good time and just allow for a couple of hours for the timeshare thing if you do have to do one. It WILL NOT be as quick as they say it will. Enjoy the main pool area while you are there. It is beautiful!

9 DAYS
I have started packing, kinda... I have our luggage layed out and have decided what bags we are taking, and have started gathering samples of things and odd and ends that need to be picked up from the store. I went shopping last night and got 4 pair of shorts ftom old navy, and I also ordered some shirts and flip flops from ll bean. They should be here by Friday. I'll be sure and post pics when they get here along with my shorts.

Oh and I have a questions for you folks... the last severeal trips we've stayed at SOG so we haven't gotten "groceries" per say just munchy stuff, but this time since we will be in a condo we are going to get groceries. Since Mom and Dad did an RCI transfer, and we are all riding down in Mom's van, DH and I have vol too take care of all the groceries. I'm debating on getting the bulk before we go down ie cereal, bread, snacks, water,etc, then just getting refridgerated stuff ie. milk, yogurt, ice cream, once we get there, what do ya'll think? The main reason I'm thinking this is we can get a lot of it a sams before we leave, and it will also keep us away from vending machines once we get on the road. If we decide we are hungry or want something munchy we will have accessible in the car, also hopeing to sut down on stops. Let me know your opinion on this. It will be 4 adults and we have the extra room with the extra cargo.

Well everyone... we are within a week a leaving and I am SOOOO exctied!!!
But first we have to get through this weekend. I'm giving my sister-in-law a baby shower tomarrow, so today will be spent cooking and finishing up last minute things. I'll post pics once eveythings done.
Still no tops from ll bean, hopefully they will be here Monday though. I guess that will be it for now. I hope to make our itentary this week, so I'll post as soon as I have an idea. See ya real soon!!! haha
