Celebrating Mother's Day 2009... WE'RE HERE!!! update 5/11

So ladies and gentlemen I have decided in a panic to begin my PTR. Our trip was originally scheduled for Sept 09, but (hence the title) b/c I have finally decided what I want to go back to school for, the trip has been moved up to May, and to top it off, Mom has informed me she is leaving all the planning to MUAH... MEEEE!!!! OOOHHHHHHHHHHHH MYYYYYYYYY!!!!!! Oh the many MANY MANY things I have to do before then!!! They have a week banked with RCI they need to use, so that is what we will be going on, and hoping will get a trade into DVC, but at least Bonnet Creek. Now to pick the dates, but unfortunatly we probubly won't do that until after the first of the year b/c that's when they are officially partners. AHHHHHH I am in total panic mode!!!
I guess for now I can decide what resturants we will be dinning at, but won't be able to make resies until after we decide on dates. Did I mention PANIC!!!

Ok so just a little info about the party of 4.

ME!!!
Hi! I'm Leanne! A 22 year old dis-crazed fan!!! This will be my 12th trip This trip has been bumped up because of me. We were supposed to be going in September, and since I have fianlly decided what I want to go back to school for, the trips moved! When I graduated high school I wen to community college for science and transfered to get my Paramedic, but stopped mid-program with EMT-Intermediate. I have now decided I want to go back for Respiratory therapy. And for a picture!

DH- Tim 26 new found disney lover! Not so much as myself, but he secretly enjoys disney... shhh don't tell He is an insurance agent in his dad's agency in out town. This is his new found love! I call him my human calculator, and this is why he enjoys being an insurance agent. This will be his 3rd trip, but his first trip was when he was 6, and all he remembers riding space mtn and NOT liking it!!!

Dmom- She enjoys doing anything with her children, and I L-O-V-E disney!!! So she enjoys it as well. Her fave part by far is WS at Epcot!!! She loves walking through the countries and meandering through the shops. I don't know how many trips this is for her, but I know it's a lot b/c they went when my brother was little and he is 15 years older than me.

Ddad- He is the same as mom! He enjoys anything his children enjoy, and I'm am very much a daddy's girl, so i think disney is more special to him than to mom, but close in comparison to mom. His fave part is Main St USA and world showcase. He especially like the fireman that on main st. Dad has been a vol firefighter for over 35 years. He HAS to take a picture with him everytrip!

So I think that abour wraps up the cast of characters. Unfortunatly we are having to stay offsite, but it's b/c mom and dad have a week with RCI that needs to be used. We are hoping we will get something at bonnet creek, but if not alas we will still be at disney!!!!

Next... What resort we will be staying at?!

So we've partially decided on our dates... it will either be May 9-16 or 16-23. now it's going to depend on what we can get reservations for.

So... things have changed AGAIN!!! DH has a fishing tournament may 3rd, and DM and dad have a wedding to go to May 16th, and we go to gatlinburg for mother's day w/e. So as of now... we are now looking at June 6th-13th. Can anyone give any insight? Or give a better time to go in May or June? We really don't want to push into July b/c it's so hot and crowded, but we will if need to.

RESERVATIONS ARE MADE!!!!!!

Drum roll please..... the dates are May 8-16!!!! YAY!!!!

No such luck with Bonnet Creek or DVC, but we are staying at Westgate Vacation Villas (RCI) has anyone else stayed there? According to Mapquest it's 4.2 miles from the poly WOOT WOOT!!!!!

On to looking for cleareance cloths at disney store!!!

So it's been a long while since, i've posted, but I don't have many updates, b/c there is no hours posted yet... errr

Anywhoo... The only update at this point I really have it Mom has decided she wants to go to hoop-dee-doo revue for Mother's day dinner, so I need to call today and make the adr. The only other adr we've decided on it Chef Mickey's for breakfast. We've never done either of these. Anyone have comments?

We've decided we want to eat at different resturants this time, b/c we always eat at the same places. So this should be an interesting trip. We don't typically do alot of adr b/c we normally do a play by ear whatever we feell like trip, but we normally are staying on sight and have multiple modes of transportation. Since this time we are staying off-site we will only have 1 vehicle to get back and forth from the condo. Hince having more of a plan, and we won't have EMH which DH and I typically take FULL advantage of the evening ones.

So far we know we want to do:
Hoop-dee-do (dinner)
Chef Mickey's (breakfast)
Coral Reef (lunch) Maybe?!
Tusker's House (lunch) The only other place we've ever eaten in AK is Flame Tree BBQ, so we might even end up at flame tree again.
Pinochio's Village Haus-not ts, but never eaten here and I hear it's nice to over look IASW.

Any other suggestions. Feel free! like I said, we ALWAYS eat at the same places, and we want to try something new.

I am so flustered!!!! I'm trying to do some scheduling to get ready to make adr's as I can do that sunday, but they are only having fantasmic one day while we are there and it's mothers day when mom wants to go to hoop-dee-do. Fantasmic is a must do for us as it is DH FAV!!!

My question is this... if I do a 5pm ADR would it be possible to get out and get to DHS for fantasmic at 9pm? We have never done Hoop-dee-do so not sure how long it last but the second show is at 7pm. Also which would be faster, driving and taking the chance in getting turned around, or using disney transport?

I don't really remeber travel times via car as it has been a long while since we stayed off-site.

So my new dilemma is...
I want to get DH something for his b-day to do while at WDW. He likes anything outdoors, and he is a gadget guru, and l-o-v-e-s to fish. I thought about the fishing excursion, but I know he'd rather do something together, and I'm not to fond of doing this, so I was debating on doing the segway excursion. We did the class in inovations in 07 and he thought they were so neat.
Does anyone have anyother suggestions of segway and which one, or suggestion on something else to do?

I could officially call and make ADR's today, but I am so indecisive. So this is my delimma...
Mom wants to eat at hoop-dee-do for mother's day, and I would like to do mother's day dinner on mothers day, but fantasmic is only being shown on Sunday and Thursday. My fear is if we have something planned for sunday something will happen and we won't get there thursday. I wanted to do 5pm HDDR on sunday and then go to fantasmic, but dad doesn't think this is doable. What do you all think?

Never been to HDDR but isn't it a long show? I honestly don't know if you would make it. My guess would be no. I just wouldn't want to chance it.
