Celebrating Christmas with the Urchins -- UPDATE -- SURPRISE

Just got caught up on your plans, and everything looks awesome! It seems like you have a lot of ADR's for such a short trip! I'm trying to get rid of some and only keep 2, but it's really hard...so maybe I'll have to try to only keep 1 per day! :rotfl2:

I have to get one of those Snowball drinks! Where are they in DHS??? I spend so much time at the Osborne Lights, but I never get to find those drinks! :rotfl:

I don't know if I ever posted our dates for 2014

Mary has invited me to join her and the girls again and we will be there May 29 - June 6. We will be spending 8 nights at Old Key West.

Mark and I weren't thrilled with August this year, so we've decided to push it mid-September (this will be whether he is at current job or new job). We will stay at AKL Kidani (assuming we can get a studio at 7 months out) for seven nights from September 19 - 26 and then nine nights in Marco September 26 - October 5.

How exciting to have a couple more trips to plan. I am a tad sad though... 9/19 to 9/26? :sad2: We arrive 10/2

We are back from our trip to Cozumel. The weather was awesome, we saw some really really cool things and ate lots of good food!! The 40 degree weather difference was a little hard to handle though :)

Cayley had a great State Meet. Scoring was pretty tough but she managed to medal in beam, bars and All Around. Had a heartbreaking mistake on the vault-hands hit the tape that cost her an entire point and being the Co State Champ :( She will never make that mistake again... She will move to a higher group in Dec. Avery's State was consistent with her year. Great score ob vault and low score on floor. Was in a VERY TOUGH age group. She will start training some skills for the next level up when we get back from Disney

Sat is our departure day. We may do breakfast at Boma and then head to AK. Not sure yet.

Thanks everyone for being here with us, and Happy Thanksgiving!!

Glad you had a good trip and that the girls had a good meet!

The good news is Andy started teaching on Friday (the teacher left to have her baby) and Mark's kids are doing well early in the wrestling season.

That is good news!!!

And I have to tell you what my sweet boy did. I told you about the dog and the shoes. Well, last Monday, Alisha called him when she was leaving work as she always does. Mark told her there was a phone number on the dresser he needed when she got home and to call him with it. Well, there was no note with a phone number. There was a note that said: "look in the closet." Hanging in the closet was a new dress and a NEW pair of zebra patterned shoes like the ones Rolo chewed up. A note attached to the shoes said to go in the kitchen and there was a note there that said: "Be ready at 8, we're going on a date." I don't know where he got his romantic side...it sure wasn't his father. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

What a good husband he is!

Storytellers (but without a cute couple in the photo)

I think the storytellers are just one more reason that Epcot is such a great park during the holidays!!!

We have dinner at the Coral Reef at 4:05 p.m. Why so early? Because we will be going to see this afte our dinner:

Mark and I are really looking forward to this. Our narrator is Whoopi Goldberg and we hear she is marvelous.

Oh wait... but then there is also the Candlelight Processional. :goodvibes Just one more reason to love holidays in Epcot.

We originally had an 8 a.m. or something like that flight. Then American Airlines went and changed flights and our flight was at 6:30 a.m. This would mean leaving the resort at 4:00, if not earlier, to return the rental car, check in, go through security, grab something to eat, etc. Mark was NOT happy. He called American Airlines on Saturday and they willingly (without any change fees, difference in fare, etc)., moved us to the 11:45 a.m. flight where there were still seats available.

That would be a horribly early flight! I am so glad Mark got it changed!!

So what did I do with this new info? I booked a breakfast, of course. And where will we be eating? Sorry, Tim, it's not Kona (although I tried...no availability; but we are definitely eating there in September). We will be eating breakfast here:

YUM! :thumbsup2

After breakfast, we will head to the airport and fly home. :(

Andy will be picking us up from the airport. I'll go home and go through the mail, do the laundry, etc., and probably hit the sack early for work the next day.

Well... all good things, yes? At least you know you are headed back in June and September. :goodvibes

Great plans all the way around. And all your DIS meets sound wonderful. Since the weather has gotten so cold here I have been wanting a winter Disney trip. I mean a Christmas trip. It will probably be a few years until I get a chance.

So cool that Whoopi is going to be your narrator. I'm sure she does a fantastic job. I hope your Coral Reef meal is super yummy!

You really do have a thoughtful son. Actually two thoughtful sons. :thumbsup2

Good morning Kathy and Mark... I know I am a bit early - but I won't have time to do this tomorrow. So, I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving - and a great trip if I don't make it back here before you leave!

Now that the dismeet is 7 I am pretty sure I'll make it:cheer2: I will be the chubby Grammy on an ecv with probably my husband, son, daughter and 2 grandson's in tow. Since it is at Space Mountain they will try to snag a ride while we visit. Well not my husband Andy as he does not do roller coasters. I am so excited:cool1:

We watched castle lighting tonight it was at 6:15 so pretty! So we are meeting at 7;00 now on the 3rd?

Kathy, I would like to wish you, Mark and your family a very happy Thanksgiving...

Tomorrow evening we check into the hotel next to the airport in Cleveland and will be flying out Friday at 8:40am. I can't believe it is finally here. I'm so glad we only got about 6 inches of snow and not the foot they forecasted and that it is now well past us and we should have no delays. Look forward to meeting you and the other DIS'ers who will be at the meet on the 3rd... Is it now going to be 7:00 pm ?

Due to the castle lighting at 6:15, we have moved the DIS Meet to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Magic Kingdom (same place...in front of restrooms near Space Mountain which are behind the dance stage).

I'll try to get to replies before we leave Tuesday. In the meantime, I wish all of you and your families a very Happy Thanksgiving and safe travels.

Got back from a quick trip to Southern Ca for Thanksgiving. Had a good time with the family and even did some Black Friday shopping :) Unpacked the jeans and jackets and repacked the shorts and t's :) Flight leaves at 1015a Phx time getting to Orlando around 4p. Off to MK tonight!!

Hope you've enjoyed a great Thanksgiving with your family!
