We made plans to go on vacation during our anniversary and my birthday .Now ,DH 's work has changed his days off which means that he has to go to work the day after my b-day. We still plan to go,but, been the disney freak I am,I wanted to wear one of those it's my birthday pin the day we visit MK (2 days before my b-day). Is that okay??.. will they ask for proof of birth when I got to city hall to pick up the birthday pin??

Hopefully, my DH will get the same days back, but. chances are he won't. What can I do??

Uhhh...won't you feel kinda silly having people wish you a happy birthday when it isn't your birthday?!?! I could see maybe doing this for a small child that would otherwise be very disappointed in the change in plans, but it sounds kinda cheesy for anyone over the age of 12.

If it isn't your birthday...it isn't your birthday.

Sorry if you don't like my reply, but you asked...

eh, no fun tjkraz. Isn't Disney all about being a child in an adult body? We have a similar situation where we were going to go on/for my B-day but had to change the trip date. I have every intention of getting a pin. I have heard that they don't ask. I think celebrating is enough.

I am not sure if they ask for proof as I have never been there at my birthday...but I would think two days is close enough.. Enjoy..

You can!!!! They don't ask for proof and I asked if this was OK and they said yes, of course. If you are there celebrating they want to know. I did it for my 3? birthday--I wore the pin for the 6 days we were there. Everywhere you go tell everyone it's your birthday. Have a great time.

Everyone's a kid at Disney World. GO FOR IT!!!! We will be there for my daughters 7TH bday and I can't wait to get her a pin. Do you know if the other parks have them or just MK? My daughter gets to choose the park for her bday, but I am trying to sway her from MK, because it is a Sunday and it will be jammed, I am sure.

It would be a much different situation if your birthday was in July and you were visiting in November. But as long as your birthday is close, and as long as you're celebrating your birthday, get a button so that everyone can wish you a happy one. Bummer about the scheduling stuff (but that's life sometimes.) Happy Birthday, Bridgette's Mom!

They do not ask for any proof ... they really don't care. :)

And we were recently at Disneyland two days before someone's birthday, and as we were buying their AP at the ticket booth the sales rep gave us a birthday sticker (because we had to provide the date of birth; she picked up on the fact that the birthday was in 2 days and gave him the sticker).

I have never celebrated a b-day at WDW, but I just celebrated my 40th at DISNEYLAND and I can tell you it is AWESOME. I was given balloons and an autograph photo of the Princesses. I was sung to again and again, I was wished Happy Birthday by EVERY CM who saw me. I was given more free desserts than my waist line cares to remember and I was even give a little special treatment on the Haunted Mansion. I wore the button for three days and on the day I didn't have the button, we were having a celebration breakfast, the CM asked WHY I wasn't STILL wearing my button and told me I should MILK it! I had over 20 friends come out to DL and we all spend the weekend at the property and got a huge pix taken with Mickey and had lunch at the Blue Bayou and rode rides and just had a BLAST. Disney is for EVERYONE. Don't be shy at ALL about celebrating there. It's what Disney does best. I HIGHLY recommend it!

something "cheesy" at disney world? great play on words. hey, it's disney world! enjoy! If you want to celebrate you birthday 2 days early; go right ahead...

I just logged on and saw all the replies...Thank you!! I just have one thing to say....YEAH, I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD TO CELEBRATE MY BIRTHDAY AND IT'S CHEESY!!!!!
:p
