Celebrating a birthday in the Edge?

Hi! On a previous cruise my DD was invited by a child to his birthday party in the Edge. She was 9 at the time, so she couldn't go. She doesn't know if there was a cake or decorations or anything. She will be turning 11 on our upcoming cruise, and I would like to plan something like this for her. I see that if I order a cake it can only be delivered to the stateroom or a dining room. I called DCL, but they didn't know of anything like this. Has anyone had experience with this? I was thinking maybe if I ordered a large cake to the room and brought it to the Edge she could have a little celebration in there. However, I don't want to order a large cake and be stuck with it if they won't allow us to bring it in for her... Is it possible to order a cake after we board so I can confirm with Edge staff that something like this can be done?

Unfortunately Edge wouldn't be able to 'host' a birthday party, so your daughter wouldn't have been invited to an actually party. Edge wouldn't have put on anything special, as all the activities are navigated. So it may have been something like, edge are having a certain activity (maybe like movie and pizza night) come along because it's my birthday and well 'use it as a party'.
Sure, you can take a cake along, edge kids can take food in and share it with friends.

It does, and this is what I assumed. I almost put quotes around party in the original post. I'm just curious if I could bring a cake during some specific time, and hopefully, she could have "Happy Birthday" sung. It's only the 3 of us cruising, so there is no way it would be anything exclusive; in fact, I'm pretty sure she doesn't even want us there, just kids. She has talked about this forever and begged to be on the ship for her birthday this year. I'm curious if anyone has experience with doing something like this.

You could drop in a cake at any time, however, if you wanted to stay then it would have to be in open house times.
I'm sure they'd sing and you could even pass around a card for her friends/ counsellors to sign.

I don't know anything about cake but if you have one I am sure the CMs would not mind you bringing it into Edge! They have a plan but they also go along with what the kids want to do, at least that was my experience. We went to check in our daugter many times and one time they were all hanging out in there, some playing games, chess, crafts.....would have been a great opportunity to have cake and sing!! They could do selfies if they have their phones and add birthday filters etc. So fun!
