Is it okay to say we are celebrating my dad's birthday on the last night of our trip? I really want to do something special for him. Our last night will be Nov 28th and his actual birthday is Dec 1st. We just couldn't extend our trip that long! Our whole family of 11 will be there. We are booked for Kona Cafe that night. Any suggestions??

I don't see why not! Celebrate while you are all together and somewhere fun! Enjoy!

We celebrated DS's birthday a month late when we were there. We were very careful to explain that is wasn't his real birthday but we were celebrating his birthday. :thumbsup2

We celebrated our DD's bday 3 weeks early in March by doing BBB, Crystal Palace and the Pirate/Princess Party. I informed all of the CM's involved that it was a few weeks early, and they did not have a problem with it at all!

There is nothing like celebrating a special occasion at Disney... go for it and have fun!

ABSOLUTELY!WDW does not CARE if it is not your actual Birthday.:) I am going to be at WDW next month on my actual Birthday, but I may celebrate for several days.:) Be sure to get your Dad a WDW Birthday Button to wear.:) Birthdays at WDW are the BEST!:)

You can and you really do not have to explain...Disney does not care when you celebrate a birthday and encourages people to do what works for them...

You can have a special cake made for him...Kona can have it waiting...Check out this link

A special cake is a great way to celebrate! Also call back to let them know you will be celebrating a birthday...They will put that comment on your ADR...Make sure they have the comment when you check-in...They will sometimes do something special...I do not know what Kona does because we have not been there for a birthday but we have been to many other birthday meals and most places will do something.

I celebrated my 50th birthday at Disney last year--three months early. Disney realizes that not everyone can be there on their actual birthday so celebrating early or late is no big deal. Have a great time.

A few years ago at Chef Mickey's we celebrated my Dad's birthday 2 weeks early because we would not be there on the actual day. When we told our server we were celebrating it she then told Goofy and he brought him out a cupcake.
