Celebrating 9 days with my 4 kids(7,6,4,2)May 2009, I know I'm late starting this TR

I feel the same way about kids being out of my sight. I can't stand it! Even my nephews, who are older, have me freaked out when they don't check in constantly. So I don't blame you!

I'm loving your report and am so glad to hear about the low crowds that day. Were they like that the whole week? Since we are going the same week this year, I hope so! :goodvibes I am using Touring Plans crowd calendar to pick our days, so hopefully that will help too!

I'm scared of soring for that reason. I might try it when we go to DL. But I'm really scared. I hate being motion sick. I think it was a combo of the dark and going backwards that did me in for EE. I don't know though. My brain works in funny ways.

You have to try it at least once. It really wasn't too bad. I was just surprised I felt a little motion sickness this last time because I had ridden it so many times before and never felt anything. I think motion sickness gets worse with age.

I don't think we did, I know they gave her some stickers, though.

They should at least give some FP's to the people who have to make a stop at First Aid center. I mean, you miss part of your day by being there. Hopefully you won't have to go through that again.

How old are your nephews?

The crowds were pretty low the whole week. Our busiest day was the first day we went which was Friday, May 1st. Friday and Wednesday are supposed to be the slowest days at MK, but that Friday just had a lot of big tour groups. We went the following Friday also, and it was definitely a lot slower than the first Friday. I used TGMike, but have heard that Touring Plans is great. I looked at your schedule, and it looks awesome! I think you will be doing good crowd wise. :thumbsup2

Signing up too, a bit later than everyone. Loving your report and pics. Can't wait to see what princesses surprise is. Me and DD1 have motion sickness so not v good on some rides, for some reason though soarin was fantastic when I eventually tried it I would sit out but last visit went on :)

:welcome: to my TR. I am so glad to have you!

I am glad you went on Soarin!! It is an awesome ride, and I am so glad you didn't get motion sickness with it. That's good to know. Now TokyoDina will definitely have to try it, and let us know if she got motion sickness or not.

OK, I just realized that I have some little video's on my camera that I didn't upload to photobucket. I am working on uploading them now, but boy does it take a long time. Anyway, I will post them when they are done. Back to the show.

Goofy(DS7) and I got on and off of EE pretty quickly. We had FP's and a lot of people were probably just heading to lunch. So, when I got to DH and the other kids at the boneyard they were still just on the little slides in the front. Goofy(DS7) and I must have set a record because we were fast. I kind of wanted to do ITTBAB, but I had been a few years before and it totally scared my kids. I didn't want to freak them out during this trip because I have learned, if they get scared during one show then they think all the shows are scary and they freak out as soon as you walk into a big room with a stage or a screen. So, we passed on that one this trip. Maybe we will try it again in a few years.

I was really wanting to see the Lion King show. We hadn't seen it yet, and I was looking forward to it. The show didn't start until 1:30 so we thought we would meet a few of the characters while we were over in Camp Minnie and Mickey waiting for the show. We saw these cute statues on the way into Camp Minnie and Mickey.

We made it to the Character area

We knew we weren't going to have time to see all of them, so we decided to see Minnie and Daisy since those were Princesses(DD2) favorite. She liked the female characters the best.

The first one we saw was Daisy

Next, we walked right next door to the Minnie area. I am noticing that my photopass photos, and my cell phone photos are a lot smaller than the photos off of my camera.:confused3 Oh well, it doesn't matter.

I don't know what Donald(DS4) was doing in this picture, but he started being silly whenever we would take a group photo. He got so tired of having to get his picture done.

We also saw these and of course the boys wanted their pictures done here

Now my kids were hot and sweaty, and just wanting to cool off. So while I sat in the waiting area for the Lion King show, my sweet DH went off to go get us a couple of frozen lemonades. YUM! Just the right thing to cool us off. As soon as we finished it was time to go into the show.

Great TR!!! I cannot wait to see what the surprise is for DD!!! Our Daughters are almost the same age, so I love to read reports about others who have little girls, too! And of course, your boys are adorable!

I see you are going in February, when at in February? I am going to go read and catch up on your PTR right now. I can't wait to read your TR when you get back. She is going to have so much fun!! I love my boys to death, but girls are just so much fun when it comes to stuff like this. They are also so different personality wise.

I am excited for you! Your trip is just around the corner!

I am glad that you decided to join me on my TR. :goodvibes April/May is a wonderful time of year to go. Just after spring breaks, but before school gets out. I saw on your PTR that your son is now over 40". Hooray!! He is going to have so much fun, and you are going to love watching him on all the bigger rides. Take lots of pics!!!

Just found your TR, looking forward to hearing more, you have such a beautiful family, your kids are adorable! DH and I are going down in May this year (2nd to 9th) and staying at POR too, so it's interesting to see crowd levels and pics of the resort.

Thanks for the kind words. May is the best time to go, and we loved POR. It was so peaceful and relaxing, and my kids liked taking the boat to DTD. You are going to love it!:goodvibes

Ok, I uploaded some video's, but there is no sound. :confused3Does anyone know how to fix this? I appreciate the help.

Here are some video's from earlier in the report. I don't know how to get the sound to work on them. Let me know if you know.

This first one is from our dinner at CP the night before. This is the parade that the kids do around the room. Lego(DS6) stopped to pick up some Mickey confetti that was on the ground.

Alright, I am including this next one because it cracks me up. :rotfl2: This guy looks so nervous because I asked to get his picture. I didn't realize the camera was on video at first so I had this 3 second clip of him posing with Princess(DD2). He totally looks stressed out.:rotfl:

These next couple are just some short clips of the Celebrate parade from the day before. They are much better with sound, sorry.

This one you really need sound for. It was the jamming band just outside of Flametree. Oh well, You can just watch their totally awesome dance moves instead. I love how they sinc their stepping pattern. I also like the guy in the red hat who jumps in at the end. Man, he was awesome. :rolleyes1

Alright, now you are caught up on video's. Let me know if you can hear the sound, or if it is just my computer. It is only on photobucket when I don't hear it. I have noticed that my youtube sound isn't working either, so maybe it is some setting on my computer?:confused3

I don't want you guys to worry about me. Do not worry about the sound thing, this genius mastermind of mine just figured it out on my own.:cool1:

I just thought to myself, " I haven't downloaded the latest version of the adobe flash player" so I went to adobe and downloaded it. You know what?!?! I can now hear the sound on my video's. Yay! :yay:

So, just ignore all those previous questions about the sound thing.

Still enjoying your trip report! I think that CP waiter is the same one who gave our kids some cute cards like that! My dd thought it was so special!

On a side note, I wanted to ask you how your family did with 6 in a room at POR? My dh is still possibly wanting to "downgrade" our CR room and save some $$$ and our kids are older so the space issue is worrying me!

I don't know if they would let you do 6 in a room since your kids are older. If they are under the age of 3 they don't count them yet, so they considered us a family of five with a baby. She still slept in a pack and play, and two of the boys shared a bed while the other one slept on the trundle. I was actually really worried about all of us being in one room, but we really weren't in there much and it worked out just fine. Even with the pack and play set up.

I was really torn between POR and the family suites at Allstar Music. Those family suites looked awesome. They had plenty of room, and my sister said they always have some sort of game going on at the pool over at ASMu. Her kids won the High school Musical game for the Wii while they were there playing Bingo. I really wanted to do the family suite, but POR ended up being about $400 cheaper so we went there. I also like the pool with a slide at POR and the boat to DTD, and the grounds were just so peaceful and relaxing. The next time we go I am going to do the ASMu, but it will probably be a year and a half from now. :headache:

Actually we only have 3 kids, I just mentioned a family of 6 because I was referring to your family. We are only a family of 5.:)

POR would actually be about $600 less than AsMu for us! We have the 20/30/40 pin but I think dh wants to save as much as he can!:upsidedow
