Alright, I am starting this next update yet again. This is my 3rd time. The past two times, one of my kids has gotten here and kept pushing the back button on the computer thus deleting my update. Grrrrrrrr. Sorry it has been a while since I have updated. I had family come in town, and well, you know how it is with family. They needed my complete undivided attention. I didn't want them to feel like they were being dissed for the DIS. I can't believe I spent a four day weekend without feeding my addiction. There is hope for me.
I also want to change the subject here for a minute and ask if any "you's guys" watch Cake Boss. This is my favorite show right now. Last week they had a show in Disney World. I was so excited. I sat and watched it and thought, "I wonder if any of my disfriends are watching this right now. Carlo's Bakery went to the food and wine festival last year and set up a cannoli booth. I am so jealous of any of you that got to eat a cannoli. I don't know what or how I am going to do it, but I am going to convince DH that we have to go this year to the food and wine festival. I have been wanting one of those cannoli's since I first started watching the show. Buddy also made his daughter a beautiful birthday cake of Cinderella's castle. He then put all of the different princesses around it.(except for Cinderella, I don't know why he left her out. Maybe Disney wouldn't let him use her.) It was an awesome cake though. Set your DVR's people. Cake Boss on TLC.
Now back to the scheduled TR, currently in progress. We finished up Fantasyland at 10:15 and headed over to Mickey's Toontown. Now, I had read on the disboards somewhere, a thread that talked about the secret path that goes behind tomorrowland speedway. On this thread several people made the comment that if you go down that path and wait for Toontown rope drop over there, that Mickey will come out and escort your family through his house and to the Judges tent. They said it was awesome because it would just be their family and Mickey in toontown because they would drop the hidden rope before the regular rope. In case anyone here doesn't know, Mickey's Toontown doesn't have rope drop until 9:45. I thought this would be a neat thing to experience, but knew I wouldn't make it this day. I thought I would try it when we came back on Friday. Just thought I would add all that in here in case any of you all want to try it, or have experienced it. If you have done it, I would love to hear more about it.
So, we made it to Mickey's Toontown and the boys went on Goofy's barnstormer while Princess and I went through Minnie's house. I had thought about going back to the Judge's tent and meeting the Fairies, but wouldn't you know it, they already had a 30 minute wait. The boys were on and off of the barnstormer in about 10 minutes. Ok, so the original plan here was to ride the train back around to Splash mountain and get off there. Get FP's to Splash and ride BTMR. Goofy(DS7) was really wanting to do Haunted Mansion at this point, so we decided to walk back that way, do HM and then eat lunch across the street at Columbia Harbor House. We got to HM and DH took Goofy(DS7) and Donald(DS4) on the ride while I sat out with
Lego(DS6) and Princess(DD2). I was not about to make Lego(DS6) get on this ride again. You see, last year we made all the kids ride it because it is not that scary. Well, when we were in the stretching room, at the part where they turn the lights out, I heard a loud, high pitched, female sounding, bloodcurdling, opera type scream. I look over and it was Lego(DS6) he latched onto my leg and was not about to let go. He was shaking. I am such a mean mom because I told him it was not scary and we were going to ride the ride. He spent the whole time with his head down in my lap covering his ears. Then when we got off he was for sure that the guy loading and unloading the cars was a real dead person. So, needless to say, I did not force him to ride the Haunted Mansion this year. DH, Goofy, and Donald rode it and were back off of it within about 15 minutes, so it was now about 10:45. I then asked DH in my ever so polite manner, "You go and sit with the kids and save us a table at CHH. I will run and get some FP's to Splash and be right back." I mean, come on, I was the commander here and he knew that. He would just say "yes mam" and do whatever I asked. Well, he wouldn't actually say "yes mam", but he did do whatever I asked. I must admit, it felt good being the commander in charge.
I ran and got those FP's to Splash Mountain. I am serious too, I really ran. On occasion I would slow down and speed walk because I was a little embarassed when people would stare at me as I ran past. Well, wouldn't you know it, as I was running back I saw these guys dancing out in the street.
I slowed down to a slight jog as I ran past this rabbit.
Well, wouldn't you know it. He pulled me back by the arm and pulled me into the middle of the street. All of the sudden I find myself doing a little square dance jig with the rabbit in the middle of the street. He spun me around in circles and we danced for about 2 minutes.

I actually quite enjoyed myself. That's what I love about Disney. One minute you are in commando mode on a mission to get FP's and the next you are in the middle of the street square dancing with a rabbit. I laughed my heart out the whole rest of the jog back to CHH. I am sure people looked at me like I was weird. Here is the picture I took as I said goodbye to my new friend.
Now I had made it back to Columbia Harbor House and it was still just my family sitting in there. Where were the throngs of lunch people? I guess it was still early because it was just now 11:00. We were the only people in here the whole time we were in there from 11:00- 11:30. Lego(DS6) was celebrating his birthday this day, so he had his birthday pin on. When we went to place our order he said he wanted a tuna fish sandwich. This kid loves tuna fish, in fact he loves it so much that he has drank the "tuna juice" from a can of tuna before. Blech, gag, yuck. I know I just made you all throw up in your mouth. I don't know what is worse, the time he drank the tuna juice, or the time he drank the juice from the vienna sausages. I don't even want to think about it. So back to my TR, he was wanting the tuna fish sandwich, but the problem is it is not a kids meal. Well, the really nice CM saw his birthday pin and told him he could order it if he wanted too since it was his birthday!! Wasn't that so sweet? DH and I also both got the tuna sandwich and the rest of the kids got chicken nuggets with fries and carrots. Here is a picture of the tuna sandwich.
and here is what the kid's meal looked like.
Then the nice CM that took our order came out and gave Lego(DS6) an extra cookie for his birthday!!
Now, I know that I have talked about Lego(DS6) being a nag in this TR, but I also must mention that he is a total sweetheart. He is the one of my kids that is always giving away all of his toys and candy to others because he would rather other people be happy. He loves to makes others smile and is always full of hugs and kisses. He is such a gentle hearted sweet boy. So when his Princess sister started hitting him with a spoon during lunch, this was his reaction.
I just know if she had done that to the other brothers, they would have started in with,"She's hitting me. Mom take her spoon away". But not Lego he just made it a game. About this time my DH asks me for the cards that I used to get the FP's. I gave them to him and he tells me, " we are missing one". What??? Did I drop one while doing my little jig with the rabbit? or did I drop one in my mad sprint? or did I leave one over by the FP machines. Plus, this wasn't just any of the KTTW cards, it was mine. So, if someone had picked it up they could charge whatever they wanted to this card. We told the kids to eat quickly and then were on our way to find the missing card. Would we find the card?
