celebrate birthday at Magic Kingdom

I recalled there was a discussion about celebrate birthday at the park, and disney will give a gift to the birthday girl. Is it still available?
Can I use a photocopy of the passport instead of bringing the passport?

It is for my younger DD.

It's hit or miss as far as a special something on your birthday. There is no 'special gift' per say, but you may get a special dessert if you're having a sit-down meal. I would not plan to have anything special, that way if it happens it's a nice treat. Too many folks get very upset because Disney didn't do to them what others have posted getting here. I would be just happy spending my birthday at Disney and if I got a little extra pixie dust it would add to it.

Last year, Disney gave everyone with a birthday a free day at a park, or a gift card for the price of a day's admission on their birthday. They are not doing that this year. We had to show DS's real passport, no photocopies allowed.

Exactly. We celebrated our son's 5th birthday there in March. He wore his button most days and got a lot of birthday wishes but no special gifts (we weren't looking for any). Although we did get a Magical Moment and it might have been because of the button - we don't know. It was at the Columbia Harbor House.
