Celebrate ‘The Lion King’ This Summer at Disney California Adventure Park

This summer, Disney California Adventure park will come alive with a vibrant celebration inspired by Disney’s “The Lion King.”

Throughout the day, a traveling troupe of storytellers will arrive to celebrate “The Lion King” in story, song and dance, inviting everyone to join in. The fun continues with music, colorful craft activities and more, honoring the spirit of Africa.

Director Jon Favreau’s all-new “The Lion King” journeys to the African savanna where a future king must overcome betrayal and tragedy to assume his rightful place on Pride Rock. “The Lion King” roars into theaters July 19, 2019.

Our festive celebration of “The Lion King” will be presented for a limited time this summer at Disney California Adventure park. Stay tuned to Disney Parks Blog for more details in the weeks ahead.

How great would it be if they brought "Festival of the Lion King" Show that they have in Animal Kingdom to DCA! That would be awesome!

Or they could bring a scaled-down version of the Broadway ahow to the Hyperion.

I had hoped they would do something cool and special in DCA to be a draw against the SW:GE crowds, and this would definitely be a must see/must-do for my fam. Didn't work out to go this summer for us, but I can't wait to hear how it is for the folks who go!

The Lion King parade from the 90’s was my favorite parade ever, I’d love to see that come back. I mean, I know all the floats and stuff are long gone, but still.
