What can you say

Oh for goodness sake - do any of these women actually take care of their offspring on a 24/7 basis!?! I was under the impression that being a Mum meant more than simply giving birth by elected caesarian at 8 months...

I was shocked at some of the nominees - I think Tess Daily (sp?) seems the most hands on out of them all.

well at least bloody kerry katatonic isn't on the list!

I think Geri Haliwell is the only one I haven't seen parading her kids like some ridiculous handbag-cruft puppy.

Vic Beckham I imagine probably does more than we think but is so afraid of kidnapping that she keeps her kids well under wraps, also Romeo (?) has epilepsy which is hard for any parent to cope with.

so Kate Moss gets nominated - is that for forcing her child to live with adrug addict? many women do that and not by choice, they don't have her millions to escape, and Heather Macartney, well, how ridiculous, dragging your child like a pawn through the courts so you can get a few extra millions? isn't 6 or so enough for anyone?
Melanie Brown hasn't even had her kid yet has she?

and as for the Goody - she harped on about missing her kids for the days she was in BB then didn't even see them for weeks after she came out due to 'rehab'

It is an award for "Celebrity" mum of the year. So perhaps is for those women who maintain their celebrity status once they've become a mother rather than for their parenting skills!

no however Melanie Brown has a 6 or 7 year old Daughter. she was born around the time Victoria Beckham had her first son.
