Try expedia.ca for car rentals. I prefer a rental that can
be picked up and dropped off right in the airport (as opposed
to being taken offsite to do so.)
$189 US seems pretty reasonable.

Be careful what coverage you have through your Gold card. Most cards will pick up the premium for the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), which pays off in the event the car is damaged while in your possession. I don't believe the card will pick up the Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI), which covers you in the eventuality you're sued by someone if you have an accident.

Some people have reported that their own auto policy will cover the SLI if they've driving a rental car in the US (and specifically FL, since the rules vary from state to state). My insurer has told me they do *NOT*.

So just be *VERY* careful what coverages you do and don't have.

I have heard the same as MikeJ re ins.
Our home policy has an endorsement specifically
for Florida rentals-ask your agent about it-if it's
not already included it's not that much to add it.
Take a copy with you when you go to the rental
agency.
