The kids bdays are coming up are there gift cards available at CDN stores that the kdis can use in FLA?

Nope, if it's purchased in Canada it must be used in Canada. It has everything to do with the exchange rate. I asked the same question at our Disney store because I wanted to get one for my DD for our upcoming trip.

They sell Disney gift certificates but they are only redeemable in Canada. You used to be able to buy Disney dollars by phone with a credit card. The only phone number I have is "International Guests should call (714) 781-4025 for ordering instructions" but that was a while ago. You could try it or call Guest Services.
