cd for a car?

Huh? CD like a music CD or CD like a bank account? Even if it were either of those, I don't really know what you mean.

what kind of cd plays in a car? Also What kind of program do i need to use? I tried droppin and dragging and that didnt work.

I THINK what you are doing is trying to play MP3 songs that you copied onto a CD?????? :confused3

That ain't gonna work. I know my ZUNE will "Burn" a CD. But all it's doing is copying MP3 files and I then must use another media program to convert the MP3s to 'audio' files to play in a CD player.

What file format are you dropping and dragging? If it's MP3 and your CD player doesn't play MP3, then it won't work.

My car CD player does play MP3 files but not all do.

I just found this all out recently when I wanted to purchase an audio book in MP3 format (because it was much cheaper!) and I talked with an IT buddy at work. He told me to go ahead and buy it and if my car CD player wouldn't play it, he would burn it onto CDs for me so I could listen to it. Fortunately the MP3 format worked for me.

Yes, what Aprille said... :) If it works, then it works. If it doesn't, then for your car you need to burn CDs as an "audio CD" instead of just as a data CD. (You'll note that you'll get far fewer songs on each CD. If you can fit more than 74 minutes on a CD, then you don't have your burning software set up for audio CD; that's approximate the maximum amount of music that fits on an audio CD.)

ok so what program can I use to burn the files to a audio disk? and what makes a file into a cd file from a MP3?

There are many options. However, you've probably already got Windows Media Player. Just use that. There is an option on the Burn toolbar menu to burn Audio CD.

If I use windows media will the cd work in a car without a mp3 player? if so how do I get my songs from my documents to appear in windows media player

This is with my Windows Media Player Version 11. Results may vary with other versions. I usually use iTunes to burn my CDs, but I hope this helps you figure out how to use WMP.

1. Open Windows Media Player.
2. File -> Add to Library. Select the folder your MP3 files are in and press OK. Let the files load into WMP.
3. Go to Burn.
4. Using the options to see by Artist, by Album, by Song, by Genre, etc., find the songs you wish to put on the audio CD.
5. When you find a song, right-click it and click "Add to 'Burn List'".
6. Fill the 'Burn List'
7. Click the "Start Burn"
8. Your CD drive should open for you to insert the blank CD into.

If you use "Burn \ Audio CD" then yes it will work in your car CD player.

You can add MP3s to the Library using "Library \ Add to Library..."
