Discover has a 5% cash back offer on all restaurant purchases, if I charge to my room will the quick service and table service meals be coded as a restaurant purchase to the card?

I believe the answer is no. It goes through as one big charge and isn't broken down by purchase. I would bring your card to the restaurants and use it there.

It would all go under the travel category, you'd get 1% instead of 5%.

No, like others have said, you need to bring your CC and pay directly with it at the restaurant to make this work for you. :) All Disney charges process out on your MB account as Entertainment expenses which is awesome if you have an Entertainment perk on your card, but not in this instance.

I also am going to use my Discover for the 5% and this is what I am planning on doing. I would prefer to use my MB, but we'll probably at least get one meal from the rewards, so it will be worth it.

Boooo. Was kind of hoping they'd charge as hotel expenses so I could redeem points on my BofA travel rewards card, but entertainment makes sense. Good to know ahead of time!
