Just a qucik heads up
On Monday Feb 9th 11:00 pm CBS channel 3 they are going to be talking about as they put it Health code violations at Disney.

I just saw the advertisement too. I wonder what is going on? From the preview, it sounds like a lot of people are getting sick.

On Saturday night I was watching "The District" and they came across and said they would be talking about this "tomorrow night" on the 11 o'clock news. Is it not on tonight and on tomorrow?

Allright I just saw the commercial for this and it will be on the Monday night 11 o'clock news. How can Disney let them do this?? I know that all restaurants are not clean and I would love to know which ones are not there at Disney, but I am shocked that Disney is allowing this to be on the air.

Maybe it is not going to be all they are saying by the advertisement. You know that this will be real interesting to see... I am going down in 4 weeks and will love knowing this information. We stay at BWV so I cook most of the time while we are there anyway. It is too expensive and not worth spending that kind of money when I can cook things we will eat.

I'm not going to watch it.

Since we started going to Disney, my hubby and I have had probably 100 meals at Disney (some inexpensive, some expensive), and we've never had a problem.

I can't stand it when they pick on Disney

Why don't they do a report on some of the nasty stuff that comes from fast food places???

This type of violations happen at all restaurants but its interesting to catch the big fish in the pond.

I wouldn't take it too seriously. Like you said 100 good meals, no illnesses etc.

I have never gotten sick from a Disney restaraunt, and I have eaten at restaraunts near me at home that I have heard of getting health violations.

They will give a health violation for ANYTHING; such as foods being left out for a few seconds longer than reccommended, or a mouse running through kicthen (Mice happen, you can do all in the world to prevent it, but it happens....and they give the health violation if they happen to be there on the one day a mouse shows up; even if one never has before or will again)

My cousin worked at a pizza place for a while, and they gave a violation because they let meat be within an inch of the dough where it was stored and they said that is not acceptable to vegans.

I don't take violations seriously unless many people are getting sick.

We're leaving for WDW tomorrow, but I'll probably watch if I'm awake.

I will be watching. However, I have never gotten ill at Disney. I have seen Dis posters write about it though. When you are serving as many meals as Disney does it would be impossible to control every meal. You can only hope for the best when eating out, even at Disney. Health violations of any kind should not be overlooked. I am curious as to what violations they find and how serious they are. There sure will be alot of talk on these boards tomorrow regarding that report!!

Wishing everyone a "magical" day!

ClassicPooh2002 -- You say you are shocked that Disney would allow this on the air. Disney, contrary to what some may think, does not own all the airways. Disney owns ABC, not CBS. Disney can't really stop CBS from airing it. If it is patently untrue, they could go to court to seek to enjoin CBS from airing it (very hard to get a judge to go along with that) or sue CBS after the airing for libel and slander if it isn't true. If it is true, there is absolutely nothing Disney can do. I agree that minor health violations can be "trumped up". On the other hand, CBS no doubt has had their fact checkers working carefully on this to ensure its accuracy.

I for one will be watching. I've eaten hundreds of meals at Disneyworld. However, I don't tend to give huge corporations the benefit of the doubt, as many on this board do.

Will this be on national news or 60 minutes or something- or is it local news? I looked at our digital guide on the tv and didn't see anything. I'd love to see this-help!
