What's the big deal? It's a breast! Some of you are acting like it's shaking the very foundation of our country. Give me a break.

I'd be willing to bet that the apologies we're hearing from CBS, MTV and Justin Timberlake were all written long before the halftime show even aired. They were probably written at the time these guys decided to pull this stunt. They knew it would generate a flood of complaints, but they've taken the "Let's do it anyway and just apologize afterwards" route.![]()

People WATCHING the indecent stuff is to blame IMO. TV networks simply put what they believe sells on the air.

Bare breasts have no place on national television at prime time.

Well, CBS, Justin & Janet got what they wanted - we're all talking about it. Some seem to be "appalled" but I'm sure don't turn the TV off when commercials are on w/women practically showing their breasts and probably buy some of the product. Some probably watch TV shows showing the same thing, etc.
It was a stupid stunt involving a body part to get ratings and sell CD's - but look how so many are "up in arms" over it. My son and I laughed at it as stupid, nothing more, then went about our business.
As far as Kid Rock wearing the flag - I have no problem with that. Throwing it to someone behind him - it didn't touch the ground - what's the big deal? He may have some raunchy songs & done some stupid stuff (who hasn't?), but he's gone overseas to entertain troops countless times and from what I've read is not too bad of a person.
Everybody just needs to ease up and not be so uptight. We only get one go round here. If some had a dread disease, I'll bet the last thing on their minds would be Janet Jackson's right boob.

Face it, the Super Bowl is something ADULTS watch, its not an event for kids. Super Bowl parties, which almost always have alcohol, are for adults.

I totally agree.
And if then Super Bowl is supposedly such a "family event", then maybe they should not air ads for alcohol.

So much was made out of this halftime show that people seem to forget that a FOOTBALL GAME was played. The Pats did a great job, and that last quarter was incredible.
Gee, my "party" consisted of me, my boyfriend, and our 7 year olds. We love sports and we watch them all the time. Gee, the boys are gonna' be bummed when we tell them they can't play baseball this year.Originally posted by goofygirl

It helps them to remember what they are singing about.Originally posted by Serena
And what is it with men who feel compelled to grab themselves on tv?
