Which of these two mods do you prefer? We are booked at CBR right now. I have been reading many positive reviews of CSR however. It is available for our dates so I'm wondering if I should switch. I am willing to pay for a preferred room. This trip it's just my daughter (age 13) and myself. We will be on the dining plan and plan to eat a couple CS meals at our resort, whichever it is. We also plan to spend some downtime there, definitely some swimming. Thoughts? :goodvibes

I like both places about equally so I may not be any help.
The rooms at CBR are a bit bigger and have two sinks in the vanity area as opposed to one at CSR. The rooms are themed to Nemo but IMHO are not as nice as at Coronado. But Coronado rooms are not themed to any Disney movie or characters if that makes a difference to you. CBR is tropical all around with Coronado having the City section (somewhat tropical), the desert Ranchos and the tropical beachy Cabanas.
I like both food courts the same though Coronado's seems to have heartier selections and is a bit more $$.
I think you should pick which ever one appeals to you most.

These may not help either. :)

we like both but i personally give a slight edge to csr. it has some of the amenities of a deluxe, like a spa, but the price of a mod. with a picky eater or for those who get hungry at say 2am there is a 24 hr mcdonalds just up the road. i like the pool area at csr a little more as i don't spend all my time in the pool but my 8 y/o granddaughter does...we both loved the resort. my only negative is the counter service area for csr is a little small and chaotic but not enough to stop me from booking there again. mainly i look for which place has a room discount and if i'm going with certain parks in mind (like epcot during f&w) i factor in which resort is closest to that park and that's where we book.

I know... it was the picture of the baby alligator that did it. :)

Hope you have an awesome time.

aaaah, Glen was so cute. He's not there anymore though is he? I heard he got too big and Disney relocated him. I've looked for him the last three times I was at CSR (last Sept, Oct/Dec, and May) and never did see him. I usually see him several times every trip. I asked and a CM said he had been relocated:sad:, but a new smaller one was in the lake now:lovestruc. I never did see him, but saw lots of turtles this past May (alot more than usual).

OP: I think you made a good decision. I've stayed at CSR ten times now and love it. I've stayed at CBR a couple times and was not impressed either time. CSR has more comfortable queen size beds, compared to just OK full size beds at CBR. If you are on the DDP, the Pepper Market is a good deal with breakfast and lunch both being buffets and costing just one CS credit (dinner is ala carte though). The pool slide at CSR is longer, main pool and hot tub not as crowded at the ones at CBR, and we love being able to refill our mugs or order food right there at the main pool. I got to WDW several times a year and usually stay in a moderate. Consistently CSR has had the best bus service. Have a nice trip and tell the new gator hi!:rotfl:

I'm so excited! Thank you!! :thumbsup2

WE have stayed at both, and enjoy both. Our most recent stay was at CBR in a pirate room. It was very cool, but it is a hike to OPR. I would choose CSR for the overall theme, setting (request cabana 8a), and bus trans.
