Has anyone recently stayed in Trinidad North? We are going in 2 1/2 weeks for the first time. POR has been the favorite, and when the cutbacks occured (mainly the boat to DTD) we decided to change to CBR. Now that POR is up and running I thought to keep CBR ressies and experience a new resort. I understand it has been rehabed. Any comments?

Is the construction still going on?

Trinidad North is on one side of the food court. Martinique is on the other. Both of these are the closest you are going to get to the food court and main pool. We stayed in Martinique once and the last time we were stuck in Trinidad South. That one is the farthest from the food court and was a horrible walk. The whole place was rehabbed and it really is pretty inside and out. I had no complaints at all about that. If they didn't stick me the farthest out building then I would have had no complaints at all. I had faxed a request earlier asking for any building that was close to the main area. My mom has bad knees and any walking that I can save her really helps. They still put us there. So be sure to fax and put in your requests. You might not get them but it doesn't hurt to try. :)

We've stayed in Trinidad North twice, including our last trip this past November. We had a first floor corner room in Building 31 (smoking because DH smokes). It was a very short pretty walk to the food court, along the lake.
The buildings have all been rehabbed and look very nice. There are other posts about CBR if you check down the list. We've never stayed at POR, but inspite of the resort size, we prefer CBR. The rooms are nice size (largest of the moderates), the food court has something that will suit everyone, the quiet pools are nice and the grounds are beautiful.
Each village has its own bus stop and parking area and the internal bus system can take you anywhere (to other villages, Custom House, etc.).
Have a great time!

I just got back from CBR 4/13. Our room was in Trinadad North #33. I found the location great. We had a rental car so I don't know if the buses were good or not but everyone seems to think they arre on this board. Our room was great. It is larger than the POR. I like the sett p of the sink area. They have shelves under the sinks to keep stuff in and out of the way. It was great. They also have a bench with a drawere to keep more clothing in. It really helped with keeping the room neat. I would stay at CBR again and I am real Poly fan. I only missed the view over the lagoon and the monorail.

Trinidad North is a great location and the smallest of the villages. Building 31 is smoking optional and the closest to Old Port Royale. Buildings 32 &33 are non smoking, and closest to the quiet pool. Building 32 has no parking lot view.
