I can't take credit for these notes, but I found a review for the rehab at CBR on another website. Hope these help a little until someone can give a detailed description:

Found on -- http://forums.wdwmagic.com/showthread.php?threadid=18099

FIRST IMPRESSION

The entire area of Old Port Royale is much brighter. There are new fans. Seems like new tables and chairs as well. The decor is of houses.

MENU

The menus of the quick service restaurants are the new picture view menus. Similar to Mara's at AKL and other restaurants on property. The menus seem similar to those before the rehab.

LAYOUT

Shutters (sit down) is no longer at the left corner nearest the merchandise area. It is still on the left side, on the far end (nearest Martinique).

The quick serves are still at the right side of the building. There seem to be the same number (maybe one less, Bakery??) **I didn't spend much time in OPR before, so comparisons may not be totally accurate.**

There is a Grab and Go that offers deli sandwiches, alcoholic beverages, salads, deserts, baked goods (cookies, muffins, etc), chips, drinks. It is on the corner with the restrooms and phones behind it. The Grab and Go has its own register.

All other quick serve restaurants use universal registers. No longer do you pay at each restaurant but at one. Cups are distributed at the registers. They are the small ones, but you get free refills.

If you order a pizza, you get a pager instead of having someone bringing it to you or waiting in line.

Behind the registers is the beverage area. The ketchup dispensers are similar to those at Pecos Bill's with ketchup, mayo, and mustard in one dispenser. The tomatos, lettuce is on the backside of the drink island. There are hot mushrooms and onions available as well much like Pecos Bill's. Coffee is available, hot chocolate is not available on the island.

Near the windows is a bar area with toasters for bagels and toast, 2 microwaves, sugars, creamers, salt, pepper, etc.

Each restaurant also has a cooler with milks and juices.

In my mind, I pictured two somewhat divided sections that were slightly elevated from part of the rest of the tables. One on the left and right. **Note, I'm not sure of this.** There is now one area located behind Shutters.

Shutters has glass windows both looking outside, but also on the interior looking into the quick service tables.

MERCHANDISE

Also much brighter. Hard to compare to previous, due to lack of time and attention.

ARCADE

No experience with either version.

If I am understanding this correctly, Shutters is now located where the quick service tables once were, and the quick service tables are now where the Captain's Table was? Very interesting. Can't wait to check it out in March. Perhaps we will eat at Shutters for something different!

We didn't stay at CBR, but did eat at the food court on the evening of 1/2/03.
The decor is still having the food "shops" in a "street" scene. I think all the food shops are still the same as before. I noticed Bridgetown Broiler, Montego's deli and Royal Pizza and Pasta. I think the bakery was still there. There was a quick stop shop that had things like milk, cereal in boxes and some packaged bakery stuff on the end of the building where the Calypso trading post shop is. As the other report said, that shop had a register and was conveniently located to just come in the door, pick out what you needed, pay and leave without having to go very far into the building. There might have been one additional food shop on the "street" but I've forgotten.
There was a central pay station pretty much directly across from the Pasta shop and Bridgetown Broilers. Just beyond the pay station, they had the drink dispensors. One thing I noticed was that the pop dispensors had a permanent part of their sign that gave the re-fillable mug rules: Unlimited refills for your mug for the entire length of stay in which the mug was originally purchased.
The seating area had interesting fans, kind of like leaves fanning sideways and the whole area was bright and pleasant. The atmosphere was like being in an outdoor veranda. The floor was grey concrete and there was a sort of "fence" around the eating area to divide it off from the walking areas. The chairs were wood or plastic that looked like wood and were all different hot colors; pink, blue, green, orange. The tables had patterned tops in the same colors, kind of a checkerboard pattern of 2 colors. The Captain's Table area is now just general seating for the quick service tables. There used to be 2 levels of seating in the waterside area toward Martinique. They kept that in both the Shutters restaurant and the general seating area. There were also some outdoor tables on a porch overlooking the water. I don't know if they were part of Shutters or part of the regular seating. From the outside, the porch was elevated and there was not an opening in the rails to get there from outside.
On the side of the building closest to Martinique, there was a Shutters restaurant. There was still a path to get out the door there, but you could not enter there any more. There were restarant seating areas on both sides of the "path", but I don't know if one was a bar area or if both were Shutters. They were visible from the "path", but far enough away that they looked private and comfortable.
The shop looked pretty much the same to me, just brightened up a little. There is still a shopping area in the "street" near the food shops and then the main shop where you go inside. We didn't go all the way inside to see if they still have any food in there, but my guess is not, since they have an area with the other food for that sort of thing.

All in all, it was very nice and I would go there again to eat, even if not staying there.

I am all excited now. I was waiting for more information on OPR. They just made my favorite resort better!

SueM:

If I understand what you explained about where Shutters now is, if you are walking from Martinique towards the food court, you can no longer enter from that end of the building??

Thanks for this info!! We are considering CBR highly for a "bonus" trip we may be taking end of Jan. beginning of Feb.

We went out that door and I noticed the door said "Exit only". We didn't try to go in again, so I don't know for sure whether or not you could.

Thanks for the information! We are planning our first stay at CBR in May and were anxious to hear about the food court changes!
