I was hoping somebody could tell me what kind of view we could expect from a king bed room at CBR. This will be my first time staying at a Disney resort, and I'd really rather not be staring at a parking lot. We will be requesting either Jamaica or Martinique, so the room views from these in particular would be nice to know.

There are four possible views you could have. Water, pool, garden, or parking lot. Or, if you have a corner room, you might get 2 views. Our room overlooked the pool on one side and garden on the other side. I suggest that when you check-in you request which one you would prefer. ;)

My husband and I stayed in a King waterview last summer, it was Jamaica 4253 to be exact, this year we are still getting a king because we like the bigger bed, but I am not requesting waterview as a priority because it really wasn't necessary, you can really only see the "waterview" from your balccony outside, from the room itself, I looked out the window like one time the whole 9 days we were there....I know alot of King rooms do have waterviews....so u may just get one anyway. I would never pay extra just for a waterview though, but paying for a king bed is ok by me.

I agree about not requesting the waterview. We had one at Christmas and it sure was a strain to actually see the water. You had to step outside the room to really see it. Even the parking lot view is nice in CBR.

How much looking do you really do out the window? With outside corridors we kept the blinds partially closed.

The parking lot view is really more of a gaaarden room within easy walking distance of your car and the bus stop. If you are at a moderate you don't have a balconey to enjoy any view and when your in your room you prefer having your privacy so you don't look out at anything. JMHO
