I just returned from my first stay at Caribbean Beach Resort. I love this resort. We arrived at 10:30 a.m. and our room was ready. Check-in took about 5 minutes. We were in room 3121 in Trinidad North, first floor. We had a nice courtyard with tables and umbrellas right outside our door where we could relax in the evening and recap our day and plan the next. The food court and big pool were just a few minutes walk away as was the quiet pool for Trinidad North.

We only ate in the food court twice but the food was good both times. Great fries! We had pizza delivered to our room (available after 4:00 p.m.). Deliver took about 20 minutes and it was good.

The resort is very relaxing and a trip around the lake is just the right length. Not so long that you get tired and not so short that you don't feel like you got exercise.

We will definetly stay at CBR again. The only complaint we had was with the water pressure in the shower but that is usually a problem at any hotel you stay at.

Any questions, just ask!

Glad to hear you liked it. We have our first stay at CBR this coming Thursday, and I can't wait to see the resort.

DH is hoping to go sailing at their marina. The resort looks cute in the Disney planning video.

CBR is one of our faves! We love the themeing and the beach atmosphere! I think it ties with POFQ as our fave mod. Glad to hear you had such a wonderful trip! Here's wishing you many more! :wizard:

Glad to hear a great review of CBR. It's the only mod we haven't tried, but have visited & thought the grounds looked beautiful!

Welcome back! I'm glad you enjoyed CBR, it's a gorgeous resort! :sunny:

You're right about the promenade around the lake; it's perfect for a walk, not too long and not too short. :flower:

Our next trip I would love to stay at CBR. Anyways my DS is asking when we can go to a beach. I showed him pics of the CBR and he said cool. That will do for a "beach" :sunny: How was transportation? Did you have to wait long for buses in the morning? Are there shaded areas around the resort if our trip has to be in June. My DH is interested in renting bikes but if our trip is in June would it be too hot. Our next trip would be in the month of June or Thanksgiving time.

Did you pay extra for building 31? ;) This is the building I want in Nov.

We stayed at CBR in 2001 before the food court refurb. My dd loved it so much that we would like to stay there again in 2006! Love watching the fireworks! S

Great to read this report. As you can see by the ticker, we are heading toward single digits VERY soon. Then it's CBR here we come!!!! :cool1:

We had a car but did use the bus a couple of times. Waits were about 10 min. max at the resort but after Epcot closing we waited about 20 min. Same as any other resort.

Lots of shaded areas. The island in the middle is a good place to relax. It has a small path that has three or four swing benches that are under trees.

Yes, it was a preferred location but well worth it. CBR is a large resort but there is an internal bus. BTW, all preferred locations at CBR are nonsmoking.

shatzjsl, could you do me a favor? Could you copy and paste your review of CBR in the CBR FAQ II thread? Link is below. Thank you.

glad you had a great trip!! I have not been but the slideshow on allears looks awesome!! Was the weather good for you? How were the crowds? What was your favorite part of the trip? Did you do the dining plan? Did you have any character meals??? Just curious...

Will do! Those threads are what convinced me to try the CBR!

Yes the weather was good. Most days were cloudy so that kept the temp in the 80's. There were so many magical things I couldn't begin to pick a favorite. I'll start posting a trip report tomorrow. No, we didn't do the dining plan. We only ate about one meal a day then snacked. We did Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace and the food was good at both.
