CBR pool closure

I have booked to go to CBR on 19th September 2008. This is a much anticipated trip, for me DH, DD who will be 6 and my parents. I am anxious about the pool closure as I feel this resort would not be the same if it is shut. My question is - does Disney usually reopen on schedule when it is doing refurbs as the pool is due to open on 15th Sept, only 4 days before we arrive. In England builders are always behind schedule so you could guarantee it would still be shut!

I would certainly put money on the fact that they will not be finished on schedule. Especially since you are checking in 4 days later. Construction never seems to run on schedule. Right now they are refurbing Teppanyaki at Epcot, and are more than a month behind schedule. You might want to look into another resort as a backup. Good Luck!

You have plenty of time to know if the project is going to be delayed. Just keep checking the first post of the CBR FAQ thread listed below. I will be updating it as I receive information.

The quiet pools are great at CBR and they are adding slides to two of them while the main pool is closed.

When the POR foodcourt was being refurbed, we had ressies to stay there. I just starting calling a couple weeks before our arrival to check on the progress. It was supposed to be finished in early May, but when we arrived in late March, all work had been completed and the food court was up and running. I would wait and see how it plays out.
