CBR or D/S?

We have a chance to stay at the CBR or D/S for about the same cost. I know the Dolphin or Swan is supposed to be nicer but I'm afraid that our 5 year old will not like it as well. Are the pools at the D/S fun for kids? Any suggestions? Thanks for your help!

We had the same dilemna. Finally chose CBR due to financial reasons. Just hoping a great code comes out. Anyway..we do have friends that love the S/D. Their kids love the pool area. Said we were crazy not to stay there. But, my dd has her heart set on CBR and dad and I have plenty of time to do the more upscale resorts later. I would feel fine with S/D pools and everything else there. It looks terrific and like I said, our friends love it.

Go for CBR!

I agree that the Swan & Dolphin are beautiful hotels, but they just didn't have that special "Disney" feel when we visited there last year.

I've stayed at CBR many times and think that a 5 year old would love it! The white sand beaches (complete with jungle gyms) are a big hit with the young kids.

One of the drawbacks for the S/D for me is that you can't charge on your room card.

My kids DD16 & DS10 like to go off by themselves. They can buy what they need with their room key.

DS loved CBR, it is his favorite mod.

I haven't stayed at the Swan or Dolphin, although they look great and I would like to try them sometime. I did stay at CBR a few years back and had a great time (the room could have been better, but they have refurbished them all since then). My choice would be CBR for the full Disney experience. ...I would pick S/D in a heartbeat over CBR!! We stayed at the Dolphin this time last year (and stayed at CBR in July 2002) and the Dolphin was awesome!! I loved the pool (especially the Gortto pool!) and I loved the convenience to the parks, as well as the Boardwalk...(JMHO)
