A few days ago,I was playing around with a possible trip in September utilizing the $75 gift card for Caribbean Beach and added it to my cart. I see now that the 'deal' is no longer valid, but it is still available in my cart and I am able to check out. If I attempt to book the same dates, there isn't availability. Do you think Disney will honor the $75/night deal? How are they even going to know who saw the notice and who didn't? Would I have a valid case that when the trip was added to the cart it had the $75 gift cards mentioned?

I don't believe it's who say the deal and who didn't....but whether you made the reservation before the deal ended. I believe today was the last day for the GC promotion but not 100%...maybe someone else will come along with the answer or you could always call to make your reservation.

Calling isn't an option because if I check for availability there isn't any outside of the offer in my cart. I guess this is how overbooking happens. It's going to allow me to book when elsewhere it says there aren't rooms.

I wouldn't count on that deal in your cart to go through at this point, either. If you want to book it, there's no harm in trying now while it's still in your cart.

Until you get through to the payment processing page, where you see actual your total etc, there is no guarantee.
It will most likely be as others stated, times out. I've added options to my cart just seeing what I was looking at, and gone back a day or two later and the pricing for what I had in my cart changed when I selected it. Nothing you can do until you have confirmation.

Yes,I have had similar things happen, either the amount has changed or it has stated that the deal was no longer available. I was, however, able to complete this transaction. I guess the only thing I can do now is call and inquire if I will get the gift cards. I do find it very odd,as you all have stated, that it actually went through. Pixie dust I assume.

I don't understand what you mean.
The offer in the cart doesn't have a gift card on it.
That was simply part of the fine print, not part of what you confirm at check out.
You had to check out and pay for the deposit before the date the offer ended, not put it in your cart.

Separate question. I booked CBR today and was told we had the $75 GC offer. BUT, it's not stated in my reservation. Should it be?

I do not believe it's ever been stated on the reservation confirmation email.
It's been reported that an email that mentions the gift card comes about a week later

A similar thing happened to me with a trip for September. I added a standard room to my cart earlier today, went back and the standard room was no longer available when I searched, but it was still in my cart. I was able to check out with it, even though I couldn't replicate my search. My cart actually was missing one of my kids, which is why I kept re-running my search, so I had to call in to add my 3rd kid. I wonder if CBR is going to be overbooked. I'll add that I was able to take the first day off my trip and get the standard room when searching, so if anything, just the first night of my trip sold out in the standard category, everything else was available.

But there was no expiration date listed on the offer when it was up, was there? If it wasn't for reading the information here, I wouldn't have known about the gift cards not being offered anymore. In the check out process of what is in the cart, it doesn't revisit the page where it explains that the resort is undergoing refurbishments etc. I wonder how many others may have had offers in their cart who don't read these boards and think there's still a $75 gift card and there's a chance that it's not offered anymore.

Probably quite a few.

I believe it did have a date on it. Someone posted it in one of the threads somewhere

You're right. I just searched the thread and the one I saw posted gave a date of March 20th. I guess that's why the offer was still available in my cart.

Multiple travel agents were told that the 75 GC offer is still valid with a booking date of today.
It's not related date wise to the fine print on the website which was already changed a few days ago.

However, I'm confused what you are describing about the GC being in your checkout cart. As far as I know, the GC email comes some time after the booking, and it is really not visible anywhere on your reservation, not before and not after check out?

This is what is posted on the Disney Travel Agent site. As long as you booked by today, you get the $75 gift cards:

"In an effort to continually improve the Guest experience, we often refresh our offerings and atmosphere. We recently announced exciting changes that will be made at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort at Walt Disney World® Resort beginning May 1, 2017-June 30, 2018.

Please note Guests who booked reservations at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort prior to March 19, 2017, for arrival May 1, 2017-June 30, 2018, will receive a $75 Disney Gift Card, per night/per room. The gift card will be delivered upon check-in and may be used at participating Walt Disney World Resort Food & Beverage and Merchandise locations. This offer will not be available for reservations booked March 20, 2017 or after."

Im sorry for the confusion. It wasn't displayed in my cart or at check out. I saw the note on the site when I was going to book originally but I ended up just saving the offer to my cart. Did the site give a date other than today for the deal to end? I'm not really sure when I put the offer in my cart, and honestly I think that if I had read there was a date I would have just booked then and there, but I could definitely be wrong.

Just offering my experience.

I had All-Star Movies standard room in my cart for a long long long time (periodically I would adjust the dates forwards a week but then would change it back to the original week and then save it). Well unfortunately my husband didn't want to book yet but the day I decided to go ahead and book it with his go ahead I could click "check out" as much as I wanted but it wouldn't budge...turns out for the week I wanted availability was zero for the standard rooms in Movies and it didn't matter one bit that it was in my cart.

Once I switched it to All-Star Sports through my cart it worked with no problems.

I don't know what your experience is but there could be a chance that even if you went ahead and tried to book it that it wouldn't let you go through the process due to inavailability...again this is just my experience I have no idea if it would be the same as yours.
