CBR Mugs

The last time we stayed at CBR was during WDW's 25th Anniversary so we have 1-CBR mug and 3-25th Anniversary mugs. I know we can take and use the old CBR mug but does anyone know if we'd be able to use the 25th Anniversary ones??

On the many internet discussion boards that revolve around WDW, there are many discussions concerning the reusable mug program at the resorts.

Does WDW have an official policy for the use of these mugs?

The main questions are usually:

1.) Can I use the mug purchased at ABC resort at XYZ resort.
A.) If I visit it?
B.) If I split my stay and move there for the second half?

2.) Can I bring the mug from ABC resort back with me on Subsequent trips to the ABC resort forever?

Thanks for a reply as to the official WDW policy on this.

Please know that the "Souvenir Mug" program at Disney Resorts allow you to refill beverages (including hot coffee & tea) at your Resort for the length of your current stay and is for your resort only. It is not extended to refills at other Disney Resorts or Theme Parks or future visits.

I have always used my mugs again at the resort I bought them from. I even asked the CM's at the different resort and they said--no problem!

If it has the same design how would they know when it was purchased? Wouldn't they have to change them every couple of months to tell when one was purchased?

I'm not making any judgement here on what people do, I'm also not saying that if you sent an e-mail asking the same question you would get the same answer, I'm passing on information I received from WDW concerning this question.

That wasn't meant as a complaint or negitive comment at all.
I just was just making a comment that how would they know. I have never taken ours back, mostly because I always for get about them after we get home. Right now my kids are using them as penny banks.. hehe.

Does anyone know if they made new special mugs because of the 100 Year celebration? I was at CBR last year in August/Sept right before the 100th....I am not sure if I am packing last years mugs to take with us back there this year, if there is a new CBR mug available I would rather just buy new ones. The ones we got last year had colorful fish playing instruments (little mermaid) on them. We got our moneys worth out of them so I don't mind repurchasing.

They had the same exact CBR mugs 2 weeks ago that were there last year

All of the plastic shopping bags, napkins, etc, all are different though, with the 100 Years of Magic wording and logo on them

I wish they would give the same answer to everybody, I can
see them not wanting us to use resort mugs any where but
the resort purchased at, but to not be able to bring them back

that is crazy....they cost a fortune and as many times as I have
been to disney I would be surrounded by mugs at my house

how many people need 15 mugs lying around the house!!!
it would definatally be a waste--therefore I probably wouldnt
even buy one then.

well then, since they have the same mugs as the ones i have, i will just pack them this year and save some $ if i can

Last September I brought my Music mug I had bought back in 1996 with me to the Movies and had no trouble using it. I thought the new Movies ones were pretty cool too, so I bought one of those. I know that this can be a "hot" issue, but for the many visits I have had and have reused mugs from previous visits, there was never a problem or issue with the CM's.
