CBR--Me, DH, DS4--best location?

We will be booking our room at CBR next week for July '06. What building would you suggest for 2 adults and a then 4 year old? We'd like to be somewhat close to the food court, but not necessarily the noise. What building is a good compromise? Maybe close prox. to wherever the transportation to the parks is.

Anyone got any ideas for newbie?

Hi there,

Well, this is just my opinion but here goes. I think the Martinique area is wonderful at CBR. If you take a look at the map here http://www.allearsnet.com/acc/cbrmap1.jpg you'll see that Martinique (blue buildings) is close to Old Port Royale and the main pool. I always request building 25 as it sits forward toward the lake and doesn't really have parking lot views. Last I heard Martinique is a "preferred" location and I think it's about $15 more per night. Maybe someone else can verify that - they hadn't started charging for the location the last time I stayed there.

Having said that I think that the Jamaica buildings (yellow) are the prettiest. They are across the lake from the Old Port Royale area. There's a bridge over the lake and Parrot Cay.

Trinidad North and Martinique are Preferred locations costing extra nightly. BTW, it isn't that noisy being near the food court and main pool.

If you don't want to pay for preferred I would suggest Jamaica. I also have a map of CBR on my website listed below.

Jamaica also has a great playground for the kids.

we always stay in martinique when at CBR! its close to the feature pool, food court and bus stop!

We felt like Jamaica was a great location! Just a short walk across the bridge to food court and shopping, but far enough away for peaceful mornings and evenings. Plus during our visit, Jamaica's bus stop was the first to get picked up and the first dropped off.
