CBR King Room Vs POR Double for Couples Trip

Good to know. I assume they'd add it back once the DVC building is open, perhaps.

If I were a potential DVC buyer ... if you told me I'd be sharing a bus with a moderate resort, that I have to walk there for any amenity whatsoever ... I wouldn't not be interested in buying in there. It's a moderate resort with moderate amenities ... There is no reason geographically for these resorts to be sharing anything except lake views.

I wasn't suggesting they should share, I was just thinking out loud, so to speak. I don't follow the CBR construction and its the first time DVC will be at a moderate, so I hadn't really considered it before.

They are going to great lengths to make sure people won't think a DVC property is at a Moderate. It's not obvious yet, but it will be once construction is completed.

I hear you, I just would be surprised if they are "sister resorts" in any way. I think it was a good location for a tower with views, CBR was already going to be impacted by the gondola, so if they reduce the number of rooms while adding that and new dining ... they can bring those rates up.

CBR will have it's new check in at Centertown, can have it's entrance on Victory Way while Riveria can have it's entrance on Lake Buena Vista near the old entrance and Custom House bulldozed. If they bust up the sidewalks on lake, the two resorts won't need to even connect if they don't want it. I saw one write up even talked about a pond going in between the two resorts to make more defined line.

Both of these are in the plans.

Good, I think keeping them apart is best for both. I would hate to be staying at CBR and have tons of folks come for the pirate pool because theirs might be more generic (like I've seen at a couple DVC) like the building. If they have to get on the gondola and then walk to CBR amenities then they will think twice.
