We didn't pay too much attention to the other "islands" at CBR when we stayed there two years ago. Jamaica looks pretty, and close to OPR.... walking across the bridge. Is it much further away than Martinique or Trinidad North??

Last time we asked for "quiet" and they put us way out in Trinidad South, LAST building. It certainly was quiet, but also a 10-15 minute walk just to get a SODA!!!!! By the end of the day our feet were so tired, we often just went thirsty! I don't want a long walk again, but I don't want to be in the middle of the OPR 'commotion.'

We were going to request Jamaica, but the more I look at the map, I wonder if we should change our minds.

Thanks for your help!

All you have to do is walk over the bridge and through Parrot Cay and you're at the food court. It's not far, but Martinique and Trinidad North are definitely closer. ;)

Think about how much time you are going to spend at the food court and the main pool. If the answer is "a lot" then I'd go for Martinique (it's my favorite). :)

When we were there last week we only went to the food court once, and didn't do any swimming. So it really depends on what you are going to be doing.

We have stayed in Jamaica and Aruba. In my opinion a lot depends on what building you are in. Some are closer to the bridge than others. We always have enjoyed the walk over the bridge and have never found it to be too long. We usually always went over to the food court at night to fill our mugs and get an ice cream, cookie, or some other goodie! (Boy I sure would like one of their sugar cookies right about now!!). We really enjoy that area of the resort and always request it.

Have a Wonderful Vacation!!!

I like Martinique too. We stayed there last June and we felt we
were right in the middle of everything.

Jamaica is also nice because it is the first stop for the busses. You can usually get a seat when you are going to the parks and when returning you are the first ones off.

I stayed in Aruba last time I was there... and I am requesting Aruba again. It is a happy medium... a bit of a walk over the island... but it is removed enough to be quieter. Jamaica is closer and should be a short pleasant walk to the OPR. If I had difficulties getting around, or very small children, I would definitely pick Martinique... but honestly, the walk from Jamaica or Aruba is not bad at all - and a nice way to enjoy the resort ambience. One of the highlights of our stay was the evening walk to OPR to get snacks and a drink - walking over the bridge and listening to the calypso music on parrot cay. It is awesome. If you don't walk around... you miss it. :)
