Does anyone know the room number of a corner room in the Jamaica building 44 - which faces into a courtyard with tables and umbrellas. My first trip to this resort we had such a room but I do not have the room number to try and get this room again. It wasn't far from the quiet pool and you could see a tiny portion of lake (if I remember correctly) while standing in front of room-or just off to the side of it. Thanks in advance.

If I were you and were planning on requesting a certain room number I would just request an area in the building.

Remember that it is just a request. The CM's try very hard to grant the requests but yours is very specific.

You will have a wonderful time at CBR no matter where you stay.

I was in Jamaica 44, but I do not have the room number handy. My room was second floor, in the middle, kind of facing the parking lot (not that you could really see it). For us it was a quick turn around the corner, down the stairs and a :30 walk to the pool. I will try and find out what room number it was in hopes that it helps you.

Here is a post from when DH and I returned from our May 2003 from a trip to the CBR. I believe the room we had was 4556 and we were in love with it - it WAS in the corner and if you exited your room you could look to the right and see the lake, look to the left and see the courtyard and straight ahead was the wooden bridge that would take you to the food court. The pool was located about two minutes away to the right; hopefully this helps:

Jamaica is most definitely the best place to stay and if you want a really great view ask for either Room 4556 or 4557 (4556 is better); we were able to get 4557 and were just as happy but 4556 has a better view. The bus p/u and d/o at Jamaica first about 80% of the time which is a blessing; I will assume that after last week's crowds, that everything, including transportation, will be better. The food court isn't that bad - trust me when I tell you and your son should buy a CBR mug - it costs $10.99 but you can get free refills for your entire stay. You can buy duck food around the resort and the ducks and other birds eat right out of your hands - even the white ones with the long, long bills (they are sometimes more gentle than the ducks). If you walk from Jamaica over the bridge to Old Port Royale (where the Food Court is), you can find little secret passageways and shaded areas where you can sit and eat in peace. That is all I can think of for now but trust me - CBR is the best Moderate resort there is - have fun and stay cool

How far a walk from Jamaica to the Food Court? We wanted to stay in Martinique or Trinidad North but not sure since I just read that they're charging more for the preferred location. We recently stayed at the Poly in Tokelau, and it took about 5 minutes to walk to the GCH - would the walk be much more than that? I really don't mind walking but since we'll have two kids, strollers, etc., closer would be nicer if possible. Also, is there a parking lot close by?

Thank you!

From our room the parking lot was just downstairs to the right (30 second walk to the pavement). If you went left, you are at the quiet pool and no more than a 5 min walk from there. The nice thing is, unlike the 5+ min walk I had when at the All stars, at least here, you walk over a nice bridge onto a bamboo covered island. Really makes you think you are somewhere else.

Short answer, parking lot is close, food court about 5 min from building 44

Hi,
We stayed In Jamaica 4513 in Nov. We had a corner room that looked out at a courtyard with had a table and unmbrella and some benches. You couldn't see the lake from the room but if you walked out of the room to your left the bridge was just ahead. I loved staying at this resort. I hope this helps.

Just want to say thank you to everyone who replied with their recommendations. Unfortunately, I was unable to secure a room at the CBR this trip around using the AP rate. I was able though, to obtain a room reservation at CSR, and this is ok as it was my second choice. I will keep everyone's information in a file for next year's trip so I can call ahead earlier and book a room before AP rates become available and then hope to apply the rate when it comes out. Thanks gang.

You should keep calling Disney; we called three times and each time we got a different story: one told us there were no more AP rates at CBR, one told us there was not an AP code of CUF and that all codes for Disney were four letters; finally, we reached someone and were able to request the same room we had in May and got a rate pf $138.26 (no more standard rooms) per night for eight nights - you should keep trying - you never know who is going to be helpful (or not in some instances)! Good luck!

I'm going to take your advice and call back frequently - you're right, you never know. Someone who is booked at the CBR may be waiting for another spot to open up at say AKL if they move up rooms become available, or someone could unfortunately have to cancel. Thanks for your encouragement.:D

Stayed at jamaica 45, room 4560, corner room. Nice views of the court and bridge. Room was right off the entrance to the bridge.

We were just able to book this same room that we had this past May for a trip in a couple of months at CBR - DH and I are sooooo psyched. We didn't know you could book a specific room but you can in case anyone was wondering:)

I doubt you can confirm a specific room. Treat it as a request and you won't be disapointed.

We politely requested the same room we had last May and the CM told us that was not unusual; we even called to confirm and the room number was listed on our reservation:)

OK, well we were room 4462. We were around the corner from the stairs down near the pool. If you walked out of our room, it was in the middle, so you could see the parking lot to the right, across the way is another building, to the left is the pool and the laundry building. We loved it. I tried to use a map to give you where the room was, but I could not get it detailed enough.

Good luck
