Thank you for all the info.
We were considering CSR - but are leaning to CBR.
We have only done deluxe resorts.
My DH is in love with the Dolphin - but I am convincing him if I can get a moderate rate around $180 with tax - that would be a $50 a night savings (we can snag the Dolphin for $230 with tax).
I like the idea of CBR proximity to EPCOT & STUDIO's.
One reason DH likes the Dolphin.
I just have to convince DH for all bus transportation from the resort, no closet doors, no balcony, and you have to go outside to get to anything in the resort.
We were AP holders in the past. Next trip will be normal WDW park hopper tickets. You need normal park hopper tickets to be able to do the meal plan ($160 for a family of 4).
We had DDE on our last trip. With the 20% discount of the DDE and the 20%
AAA discount at Starwood restaurants at the S/D - we still spent between $160 to $200 per day on food.
With the meal plan - we would either break even or save at least $40 per day.
Our teen DS & DD will order steak and shrimp if it is availbale on the menu.
So to get the meal plan we have to stay at a WDW resort.
In the past we stayed at CR, WL & the Dolphin (twice).
The CR wings do not exist anymore and the WL pool was just too small.
WL would be nice for just us parents once our kids are in college
Y/BC, Poly, BW & GF are too expensive.
We do not care for AKL.
POFQ & POR do not seems to have the amenties the CBR & CSR have to offer.
Again, thank you for all the positive feedback on CBR.
When I lose

, DH promised our family a week in WDW
