I am drawn toward the colors of the Jamaica buildings, but how far is the walk REALLY to OPR? If my husband & I need to grab a quick coffee on our way out in the morning - should I consider a different "island"??

Our favorite is Jamaica, as well. The walk will take you about 5 minutes, and the area you walk through it quite beautiful, so it makes for a relaxing walk. It would definitely be my 1st choice. Request building 45 as it is the most convenient to the bridge that crosses Parrot Cay. It also has no parking lot views, and is convenient to the bus stop, as well!

I would request the closest building in Jamaica (make sure it is NS, if that is what you prefer). We were in Trinidad north and the walk to opr was just concrete (hot concrete) the whole way- boring! Jamaica was the prettiest of the villages (IMO). I heard that the coffee in the rooms is free now. You could always bring your own. With a coffeemaker, I wouldn't walk all that way for just coffee.

OH - there is a coffee maker in the room? How about coffee mugs? I can pack some folgers in my suitcae, no problem! :D

There are coffeemakers in the room. I wouldn't worry about the walk to OPR. This is a very laid back resort . I made up my mind that if I stayed there again, I wouldn't even worry about going to OPR. We don't usually eat in the food court and the quiet pools/beaches wih hammocks are so nice! For a couple going without kids, you will love the quiet of your own village!
