Really looking into the moderate resorts. We have a family of 5 me, DH, DS8, DD4 & DD2 and we know once DD2 is 3 we'll need to stay in other resorts BUT for now we'd like to save some money while we can :thumbsup2 !

DH and I have stayed at POR - Riverside before so we thought we might try a different mod. Loved it there but would like to try somewhere else. I know CBR's rooms are larger then the other mods...would we all be able to fit comfortably? Hows the transportation? We'd probably rent a car anyway so I guess the transportation is not much of an issue. I saw pics on allears and it looks like a beautiful resort.

Curious if anyone has squeezed 5 in at CBR? Thanks for any info.

For more information on CBR I suggest visiting the links in my signature. CBR is a beautiful resort.

Thanks - I skimmed that thread last night...its very informative. Love the pics! Curious as to whether any families have squeezed 5 into a room.

My neighbor did! It was herself, her husband, and their three boys ages 6,4and 2. I know she had a fabulous time. They got a ground floor room near the quiet pool in Jamaica. I know that she and her husband would put the boys down for a nap and then sit outside the room enjoying the grounds and taking turns jumping into the quiet pool. I know that part worked out well for her. Today at the bus stop I will ask her specifically about the room size and how well they all fit in it!

Happy planning!:daisy:

Thanks I'd appreciate it!

Hi, I am back! My neighbor said that they were able to put the pack-n-play in the closet area of their room at CBR. They were able to pull the curtain closed and give their youngest his own little space for sleeping. She has really good sleepers, and she said that as long as you have good sleepers she didn't see any problem. She also said that in her opinion three kids in one room is three kids in one room whether you are paying for deluxe or moderate. The swaying factor for her would be if you were talking about getting a 2 Bedroom condo somewhere.

Good luck!:daisy:

Thank you so much for your help. We have ressies right now for a 1 bedroom at OKW but we've had some financial difficulties lately so I'm trying to cut back w/o cancelling our trip entirely. We would save close to $1900 if we switched to a moderate. Anyway thanks for the info and the congrats on the weight loss. We had to cancel our May trip to Disney because DD4 was sick so I've put back on a few pounds due to depression eating but I'll get on track again!

Thanks again, I appreciate it!:thumbsup2

It was just my husband and I at CBR, but I definitely think there is room for 5 in a room. If possible, request a corner room/first floor (in that order), for the roomiest feel.

We are only a family of 4, but there is definitely room for 3 young children in a room. My DS16 doesn't want to share a bed, so we bring an air mattress for him. There was plenty of room for it there! The CBR is a beautiful resort with great theming and music. It sounds like a great way to save a good deal of $. Have a wonderful trip!:)

Thanks for all the responses! We may just switch I need to talk to DH about it and have him look at some pics of CBR. Thanks again.

I was wondering if they have enough room to put the mattress between the bathroom wall and the bed or if it has to be put by the door? Thanks

We actually put the air mattress at the foot of the bed closest to the door at bedtime and then just stored it in the space between the other bed and the wall by the sink area. It wasn't even in the way. You probably could put the mattress under tha area with the hangers and racks, but we used that area to store others things in. We requested and got a courtyard view. It was very quiet and pretty. Even though it was Easter break and the resort was sold out, we never did hear anyone else from inside our room.

Ok thanks. When I stayed at POFQ I put the air mattress by the door and it stayed there all week. This time I am going with my brother and his family and would like to get connecting doors but I see in the pictures that is where the door is that connects to the other room so I was trying to see if I could fit it at the other side of the room between the bed and the wall.

I have some pics of CBR in the links below... I have to tell you, I have a pretty stressful job and find my time at CBR to be so relaxing!!!! Being there is like having a vacation within my vacation -- I don't know if all 5 of you will be crowded -- but i can tell you this -- I had 2 16-year-olds, a 13-year-old, and myself, and we had plenty of space. The curtain probably does work very well for a small child to have their own sleeping area.... I love CBR, and can't wait to get back... get away and keep your vacation... you deserve it!
