Last year, we took a trip to the CBR during the 3rd week in March and the Cheerleaders arrived on our last night. Very noisy, and some disrespectful situations were also observed.

I just read a post that leads me to believe that they're going to be there the entire week of the 15th to the 22nd....

Anyone know which islands of the CBR they'll be likely to stay at? I'd really like to move to a different part of CBR if they're anywhere near Jamaica....

TIA

We were at CBR in Feb. when they were there and we didn't have any problems. The food court was more crowded. It seems that they were all over the resort. No problems with noise either.

We were there in Feb-01, and if I were you, I'd ask CBR directly. You should not be expected to have a trip that you've saved for and planned for ruined by selfish and unsupervised teenagers. I'm sorry if any of the "cheer people" are insulted, but they are oblivious to the fact that there are others who are trying to enjoy their trip.

Hey bolt & others who will be at CBR next week,

Some friends gave me some advice, if the cheerleaders invading our resort get out of hand, we'll buy those shirts that say "Cheerleading is NOT a Sport" and have our families flaunt them around every area of CBR. The response would be worth the price of admission. ;)

I suspect there won't be any problems but I will be asking at the front desk when I check in as well where they are staying. The only adjustment we may may make is not eating in the food court as much, rather going into town. Either way, pig-tails in ribbons and "spirit" fingers waving won't get in the way of our best family vacation ever! Rev it up Mickey, 5 days and counting.

(For the cheer moms out there, don't crucify me, I'm just kidding)

Called the CBR front desk tonight and they did not yet have not yet assigned all the rooms. I was told that they would not be quarantined to one specific island; instead, they'll be cross-populated with the rest of us.

I'm printing up T-Shirts for myself and my two sons to wear. They'll read:

"FREE Cheerleader Massages Given Nightly. Ask Me For Details."

I called CRO on Saturday to find out if any tour groups will be staying at All Star Sports during our trip. The CM I spoke to said they are not allowed to give out that information.

Well when I called CBR they told me that they try to confine them to one island........guess we'll find out next week!

Cheerleader Infestation,

Now that is TOO funny!!!!!:p

Actually, as long as the cheerleaders are there spending money, I would rather have them, than not!

Just ask at check in to be as far from them as humanly possible or if you have problems, ask for a different resort. Just as their money spends, you shouldn't have to spend your money putting up with them, if they are irritating you.

I understand your concerns. One of the reasons we do not stay at the AS is that they seem to alwayd be there. Practicing early and very late. I would suggest if it is too much of a problem ask to speak to a manager at CBR, express your concerns and see if they can transfer you to another resort that will not be housing these groups.

I'm with Grumpy on this one. I had two stays at the AS ruined by obnoxious cheerleaders who overran the pools, practiced right outside my door from 6:00am until 1:00am, and pushed their way onto the buses in huge hoardes, even if they weren't the first at the stop. Never again.

CBR Cheerleaders in JAMAICA Next Week - It's Official

Just spoke to the CBR front desk and the Cheerleader Infestation has been confined, sadly, to my favorite island of Jamaica.

It's off to Aruba for my family. If you're going next week I'd advise highly to sleep anywhere except Jamaica.....
