CBC news and shooting death footage

I was just watching the CBC news after the hockey game and they showed an american helicopter I do believe and some footage of it shooting and killing 2 Iraqui men and the pilots didn't know if they were civilians or militants. Sounds like the pilots that bombed and killed the Canadians in Afganistan sorry guys but I think they should try and get a littl emore info before shooting people whether it be the US brits or anyone doing the shooting. It was very graphic and quite nasty to see.

I do hope you realize that the CBC is filtering the information given to Canadians about the war in Iraq and the US Govt. I was very disappointed with what I saw in the news and in the Toronto Star when I was up there last week. You guys need to be all over the CBC... it's censorship at its worst. They think nothing of showing Al Jaziere's propaganda... and yet Fox News (the most watched news program in the US) is banned by the CBC.

You should feel insulted that your govt doesn't think its citizens are intelligent enough to weigh differing reports and make an intelligent decision about what to believe. I find it sad and unfortunate that you are not given the choice, and it certainly explains the comments constantly made on this board and elsewhere by Canadians.

The pilots DID know. They saw them take a tubular weapon out of the back of their car and use it. Flee and they followed them and eliminated them. Sounds like a good idea to me!

Thanks for the info Dawn we were not shown that part of it and it was never mentioned either. I do know what happened to the Canadian guys in Afganistan could have been avoided with another 10 seconds for the pilots to get verification I guess that is why they are being charged or had been charged in the deaths. I can't stand FOX news I prefer not to watch anything from FOX especially after they tried to mess with HOCKEY and the stupid FOX puck what a joke that was.

Oh calm down mominPA. All I am suggesting is that they get more than one side of the story up there, that way they can put the two together and get the whole story. Isn't it upsetting that DawnCT had to give the OP the "rest of the story?" That's exactly what I'm talking about.

This video has been circulating the internet for over a month. I saw the the whole thing on-line and the Iraqis shot at the American troops, killed them and then were looting their bodies. Of course, you don't see all of that on the news. I like to hear and see the whole story instead of the bits and pieces that the news feels that we should see/hear. Just my opinion, of course.

It doesn't seem to matter what news you watch they all show what looks best to them and not always what is needed to be shown or told. You will never get the whole story only parts of it. Mind you I am sure the government has a part to play in that to with what they will allow people to show and tell in the news.
