Caylee

I didn't think a positive identification had been made yet. Did I miss something?

No. You are correct, they did NOT say it was a positive ID

Authorities said Friday they believe that a child's remains discovered near Caylee Anthony's home belonged to the missing toddler, but they cautioned it could be a week or more before they have conclusive DNA evidence. A lawyer for the girl's mother told a judge that hair found with the remains was like Caylee's, and that the age and measurements were also a match.

So so so very sad.:sad2:

May Caylee RIP and Casey be put away for life!

Can someone please answer something for me. Did Casey and Caylee live with the grandparents at the time Caylee went missing? If yes, how come the grandmother (or grandfather) didn't report her missing the first day? If that baby lives in your home and she's not there, why aren't you calling the police?

That poor baby, it just breaks my heart.

Thanks. What do you even say in regards to something like this? It's so unnerving to hope this is the innocent little girl but you also hope an answer is found and it is her so she can be put to rest properly.

If this is Caylee, maybe now the grandparents will stop trying to protect their daughter. Casey said something to her mother to get her to stand behind her. Maybe now the grandparents can face the truth and try to move on. It's so sad.

I believe Casey and Caylee lived with them. Whatever they found inside the home could be tied to Casey. I don't think George or Cindy had anything to do with this. Cindy's only crime is believing every word out of Casey's mouth.

Lee, her brother, he's a different story.

They lived with the grandparents and this has always bothered me:
Why, if Casey and Caley lived with them did it take over a month before Cindy reported her granddaughter missing? Did Casey make a habit of misplacing Caylee? I know that supposedly the sitter took her her but still, she should have called the police immediately.

From what we have been hearing, Casey and her mother (Cindy) had an argument and it was even rumored that Cindy tried to choke Casey. Cindy supposedly told Casey that she was going to try to get custody of Caylee. All of this happened right after they found out that Casey was stealing from her grandmother. Casey then moved out and moved in with her boyfriend. Then for a month Cindy couldn't find where her daughter Casey was living. Cindy and George then got a letter telling them about their car being towed from Amscot. When they retrieved the car, they smelled that horrible smell and they got scared. So Cindy had a friend of Casey's go with her over to Casey's boyfriend's apartment. She then made Casey get in the car and grilled her on where Caylee was. She kept telling her that Caylee was with the nanny at the beach. So Cindy called the police to let them know that Casey stole her car. She told Casey that she was going to have her arrested for theft. Within a few minutes/hours Casey then told her the story of the kidnapping and so Cindy called the police back to report the kidnapping. That is when we heard her tearful 9-1-1 call.

So Cindy had been looking for Casey and Caylee for a month. I do think she talked to Casey almost daily on the phone and asked her to bring over Caylee but Casey always had an excuse. A few times Casey may have even gone over to her parents house but always told them she was late for work and that Caylee was with the babysitter. Finally Cindy had enough of the excuses and did some sleuthing to find Casey's friend. The friend had some paperwork in Casey's car and Cindy was able to get the friends phone number from that. So she called her and the friend showed her where Casey was living and the rest is history.

I watched a couple of shows tonight about little Caylee and I feel sick to my stomach after watching them.....seeing the video of her singing "My Sunshine" brought tears to my eyes. How a parent can harm their child is beyond me.....and hearing about the duct tape over the mouth along with all of the other information in this case makes me ill. If these remains are Caylee's may her beautiful smile light up the heavens and may she know so many people have been thinking of her.

Living just a few miles from the Anthony's, this story is constantly broadcasted on all the news channels here. From my understanding, they are pretty positive that the remains are Caylee's. It is now known that hair was found along with the bones and it matches Caylee's hair type and color. They have also found clothes in the area. I believe that whatever they found along with the remains they are trying to tie back to the Anthony house, like the type of garbage bag, duck tape and what not. I guarantee you that if this does end up being Caylee that her mother will try to convince everyone that the "nanny" harmed Caylee. I wonder if she will ever stop the act. I wonder why the grandparents never stepped in and took custody of her, from what I understand they knew Casey had problems with lying and that they thought she was unfit mother.

This whole story just makes me sick to my stomach to think of that poor little girl and what she went through. It is sad that they may have discovered her remains but will also be a relief to put this little girl to rest and her monster of a mother behind bars for life. How could anyone harm something so precious. :sad2: :guilty:[/QUOT

I am in Tampa and it is on the news here alot also. But I agree with you that Caylee's mom will pull anything she can to convince everyone the imaginary "Nanny" did it. She is a sick person but not insane...so if she tries to plead insanity I pray they laugh at her....and then fry her. And I wish Caylee was alive but maybe now she can rest in peace....and not in a garbage bag...

Thanks so much for explaining this. It makes me feel better about Cindy.

God bless little Caylee... may she finally RIP. I hope the FBI is quick with her so they can put her little body to rest. And may Casey burn in hell for throwing her child away like nothing more than garbage.

Poor Caylee...that sweet, innocent child....she didn't deserve what her mother did to her.
I'd like to see Casey hung from the highest tree....what an uncaring, unfeeling monster!!

So sad, I hope she didn't suffer.

I hate to say this but if they found her with duct tape over her mouth it is pretty certain she did suffer and for that I want her mother burned at the stake! NO humane execution for Casy as far as I am concerned. I would LOVE to serve on that jury.

Burned at the stake but not until she suffers. Honest to God, I'm not pro death penalty except in cases where children have been hurt or tortured before being murdered. In those cases, the same types of tortures used during Saddam's reign should be employed before the child murderer is executed.

State's Attorney took the Death Penalty off the table quite a while ago...

That was before the body was found. With no body dp would be very hard to get.

Now that there is a body and if they can find definitive evidence to link Casey (fingerprints/DNA on the duct tape, fibers etc) and the extenuating circumstances of abuse/torture to Caylee (like duct tape on her mouth!) then they certainly can refile for death penalty.
