This is down inside the pyramid at the Mexico pavilion.

Experience varies with waiter. Appetizers are all about tortilla chips. If you want something else to eat, you're out of luck. Some of the margaritas are very good but of course too expensive. We loved the non-alcoholic "pinata," a strawberry-coconut smoothie. Again, too expensive, but delicious! We did a flight of infused tequilas; they were hot room temp - yuck! - and we couldn't taste the infused flavors; the waiter did not identify them, and we wonderd if they had served us the wrong thing, but the waiter was nowhere to be found in that small space!

It appears to be a tequila bar, but children and babies are in there too.

Thanks for posting - I had never heard of this until recently. Interesting that kids are allowed in, not sure about whether I love the idea but it does mean I'm in with a chance of having a look next trip. :)

That is disapointing. I've always liked "The Ditch". I've never had munchies there, I just sit at the tequilla bar and drink. I've had the flavored flights of margahritas (which were always cold and yummy) as well as flights of various tequilla.

If the tequilla you were served was straight, it would not be chilled even if it was infused with an herb. You shouldn't water down any high-end liquor with ice. The bartenders have always been knowledgable, I can't speak for the waiters.

It is pricey but you should go in knowing you are drinking high-end stuff, not well liquor so you should expect to pay more. The reward is getting to try a variety of tequillas you might never had access to where you live.

Sorry you had a bad experience. This is one of DH's & my favorite places in the World! We are big tequila/margarita fans and make it a point to stop by the Cava as many times as possible during our trips. I, personally, am glad to hear that others are bringing their babies. We plan on taking our little one for her first birthday in December 2013 and we'll be stopping for a visit at the Cava!
