Planning a visit for early 2016, using MDE with a real trip for the first time, and so far (crossing fingers and knocking on wood) everything is going well.

We've been able to link guests in the family account, link new ticket exchange certificates to the members, make dining reservations and match them to our planned itinerary... now we're waiting for the 60-day mark to test out the FP+s.

Anything we should be wary of as we get closer to the FP+ reservation date?

The spreadsheet is ready...

Lol, I wouldn't say to be wary per se. It doesn't seem like things like dropping all your FPs are common, but they do happen.

I will say this, if its a relatively busy time of night at the midnight bookings, esp for the most demanded FPs, you might get a bunch of errors on the page ... thats about the most common issue to be wary of. And definitely book the most demanded for the last day, start there and work back just to make sure you have them at least on day 10...

Hmmm...I wanted to vote "All Of The Above", but it doesn't look like it's an option?
You can select "other" and write in "all of the above" in your post...

Which, I see, you did... ;)

Ha ha ha I was being facetious of course.

Truth be told, we've had good luck with MDE and the whole system as a whole (cue FP carnage on my account tomorrow thanks to Murphy's Law wanting to prove me wrong now that I made that statement, I'm sure). Do you have regular tickets or APs? If you have APs, you can do a dry run before your window opens up :).

MDE does crash, but I would worry about it. Your experience has a lot to do with your attitude going in to it. Know things can happen, but everything will work out and stay positive.

Not be wary of but be prepared for. MDE does crash and or wifi and cell service sometimes goes down the pooper. I always take a picture of the "my plans" screen for the next day just in case we can't connect. It has come in handy many times.

MDE crashes for sure. Those happen often and regularly, in fact I've had several but so far no trouble with reservations or FP+. (Knock wood)

Like bigalsgal we take a picture of our plans. I find guest services very helpful. The only problem we had about a year ago is our magic bands wouldn't let us back in our room. POFQ. If you're having a major problem there's always city hall at the mk.

Stuff is going to go wrong, that's how life works. It's just how you deal with it that matters. You're on vacation if you hit a road block move around it, don't let it dictate your entire trip!

None of those are life ending even disappearing resort reservations. Take your confirmation code with you. Everything can be worked out, or worked around.

Are you getting memory maker? We linked family and friends who were staying at a different resort when we added memory maker to MDE. What a fiasco that was. :badpc:

We've never had any of the issues you listed. We've taken 4 trips to WDW in the past 2 years.

MDE does crash. Or glitch. Or goes on vacation. Magic bands don't work when you need them to. Their system fails so you can't charge your dining. WiFi slows to a crawl or a standstill. All of these things happened ( some of them multiple times) on our last trip. Frustrating at the time of each occurrence, but things got fixed and we still had a good time. Knowing that problems can occur means you aren't thrown for a loop if they happen. Hopefully they won't happen to you. But even if they do, it doesn't mean a ruined trip.

Two members of my party have Platinum Annuals, so I'm relying on their photo links...
