I'll try to be brief (LOL!!!!) After soul searching (and DIS surfing!!!) most of the night, I got up at 4am to pace. Decided to get organized and motivated. Wrote down all my issues and was on the phone to the dialysis unit (where Josh is seen by the doctors) at 5:30. Asked to speak to head of the Department, who is on vacation. Was NOT deterred and let them know this couldn't wait. Told my story, stood firm, and finally talked to another doctor (a GOOD one). He agreed NO BIOPSY tomorrow!!
He did tell me that if he would have had one, he would not have been able to go next week due to possibility of bleeding--YIKES!!! If lab work is fine tomorrow, no problem. If lab work is weird tomorrow, they're going to do an ultrasound. But, at this point, unless everything goes to hell in a handbasket, we will be able to go!
Here's to praying and hoping and BELIEVING!!!
