My indoor cat has been sneaking out for the last few days and I just noticed that he came home with a tick. Its light brown and is right by his ear. What should I do? Are there tricks that make removing it easier? Does he need to go to the vet? Thanks for any help :cat:

Take a Q-tip or Kleenex soaked in rubbing alcohol and rub it around the tick. The tick should let go by itself because the alcohol suffocates it. You may need to re-soak the Q-tip or Kleenex a couple of times. If the tick won't let go, use tweezers and grab the tick as close to the skin as you can and pull straight up away from your furbaby's skin. (Cats hate that!) Seriously, after a few minutes of the alcohol treatment you should be able to wipe the tick off.
