I would like to surprise the hubby and have the family attend mass in Disney (he thinks I am a heathen!!! I am NOT). We have CRT at 8:30 on Sunday.

I figure we can monorail it to the Poly (which is where I have searched and found that Mass is held).

Question is - are the masses still 8 and 10? Some searches bring it up as 8 and 10:15. I think we could make the 10:15 but not the 10. If we try for the 8 and it lasts an hour...is it true they hold PS for one hour after the time (of our 8:30) and would we make it to the castle by 9:30!!

Any chance if we show up early at the castle like 8:00 we might get in early so we could make the 10:00???

Does anyone know if there is a Catholic Mass on Saturday night?

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm not sure of the exact times for mass at the Poly, but I thought it was at 8am and 10am. It is my understanding that it is an abbreviated mass and will not last the whole hour but closer to 40-45 minutes. Even so, I would NOT take the chance of going to the 8am mass and still trying to get to the MK for your Cindy's PS. I really do not think they would take you in if you arrived more than 20-30 minutes after your scheduled time.

I think your best bet would be to arrive early for Cinderella's Royal Table and to try and make the 10am mass. If you could get in just 15 minutes ahead of time, I would think you could make it in plenty of time. Heck, you might be able to make it anyway if you don't linger over breakfast. When going to the Polynesian be sure to check the boat dock as well as the monorail. If the boat is getting ready to depart, this will be the quickest route (even though the boat stops at the Grand Floridian first). If the boat is not in sight, then you'll want to take the monorail.

Have fun!

There is a wonderful Saturday night mass (6 or 6:30PM)at Mary Queen of the Universe shrine. It is a beautiful free standing shrine that was founded to address tourist's demand for Catholic masses. You need a car (or I suppose you can take a car service) It is only a stone's throw away from Crossroads, which is not far from Downtown Disney. We always go to mass at the shrine, rather than at the Poly. I know your DH would love it. Hotel main desks can provide info at check-in and I think they have a web site at www.maryqueen of the universe.com(org?)
