Category 8 or 9

I have always been in a category 6 room but the price is too steep for me this time. Are the cat. 8 and 9 rooms the same size as a cat. 6 room but without the verandah, complete with 1 1/2 bathrooms? Also, I am thinking it might be fun to be on the second floor (cat 9)which should be close to the water. Can you see the ocean water in the porthole or is the ocean level still far below the second floor? Or is it better to be on the higher floors in a cat. 8 room? Any help is greatly appreciated! Also, can you sit inside the porthole?

We stayed in a cat 9 on deck 2 and had a great view of the water. I believe that cat 8 and 9 are the same size as a 6. Like you said, just no verandah.
