Category 12 Questions

Hello! Has anyone ever stayed on a Category 12 stateroom? We saved $500 over booking a category 11 but we were just wondering about the noise level. Obviously the attitude is we won't be in the room except to sleep and my dh actually likes the idea of an inside stateroom since he thinks he'll sleep in longer since there will be no to disturb him in the morning

We LOVED our Cat 12 room. We have also had cat 7 Navigator verandah and prefer the cat 12. I love having the inside cabin as I can nap if I want to. I also like 1 bathroom and not the split bathroom.

Teri,
If you don't mind me asking why do you prefer the bathrooms to not be split? Is there an advantage?

DH agrees with you on the inside staterooms - he knows that no matter what time of day it will be dark enough to take a nap.

I didn't like the split bathroom because I liked having all the bathroom items I need in one area. I did'nt like taking a shower in one area then having to go in the other area to brush my teeth or dry my hair. I also like having a little bit more room in the one bathroom that has the sink, toilet and shower. the split had bathtub in one area, the toilet and sink area in the other. I think I am a minority in this as it seems most people have said they liked the split bathroom. I just didn't like having to go back and forth to shower and brush teeth, I want to do it all in the same room.

We had two Cat 12 rooms 2517 and 2519. They were very comfortable and we never had any noise problems. Plus it was nice to be on Deck 2 since nearly all the restaurants and clubs are on Deck 3.

Thanks! good to know that noise isn't a big problem. We are so looking forward to our cruise (even though it is a long way away) but we are also trying to save as much money as possible.

We had a cat 12 room in February and we were on deck 6, front, inside hallway. It was a nice room, quiet, convenient for us.
