Hi, just wondering what (if any) real differance there is between cat 11 and cat 10 other than the split bath? There is only 3 of us including DD who is 4. We don't need that much room but still would like to be able to spread out a little. Also is the "secret Porthole" worth it? and is it any bigger then the other cat 11's? Thanks for all the wonderful help on these boards. Kim

The secret porthole rooms are category #10 rooms so they are bigger than a category #11 and they do have the split bath. If you can snag them--- they are well worth it! You are paying for an inside non view room and getting a slightly obstructed porthole view for FREE! Check out the secret porthole room page on my website linked below for some pics of two of these rooms.

With that said -- if I could not snag the SPR I would personally go for a category #11. I feel that they are positioned on the ship slightly better than the category#10's. We found the #11's to be rather roomy and actually liked the single bath better than the split bath.
:D

I agree with wovenwonder!
We stayed in a cat 11 first and then a cat 10(sph) on our second cruise. While the cat 11 wasnt bad at all, the SPH is definitely worth it. If we couldnt get the SPH we would have gone back to a cat 11. The split bath wasnt worth extra for us, but the window was. Its all a matter of preference. :D

thanks so much for your help guys! Woven...I've put your pics into my "favorites" so I can show DH when he gets home from work! You should work for disney. Those pics of your cruise were MUCH better than Disneys. Another question for you two....the curtain over the window looks kinda "skimpy". Did you worry about privacy? It looks as though people could walk right by the window?

The curtains over the window are actually rather heavy drapes. When closed you have ample privacy. You will on occasion see workers outside the windows during the day --- so cover up or close the curtains unless you want to put on a 'show'.;)
