Sorry, I know that these rebooking on board questions can get monotonous(sp?) but, I am planning on rebooking as far out as is available, and then bumping it even further out as the date draws nearer, I just want to know if I can upgrade at a future date. I have the alterior motive of getting into a category 1 some time in the future, but I know that they are booked for years, and I am not sure when I will be able to afford one any way. I guess what I am asking is,1. can you upgrade later, 2 how many times can you bump back your reservation/do you still keep the 10% discount and room credit? 3, is the Category one suite really worth the trouble?4 can I pay little by little, upgrade, change date, pay a little more, upgrade change date, and go on like this until I can afford it?

Driving you crazy yet? Sorry. My DH isn't home, gotta bother someone:p :duck::confused:

sorry but I'm bumping myself, there's gotta be someone out there who has rebooked a couple of times, and I know there has to be at least one person who can tell me about the Cat 1. Forgive me, it's an obsession...

Thanks, so much. Now I need a new keyboard cause I just spit coffee all over it from laughter. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Suz, try changing the title of the thread to either something about bumping ressies or category 1 suite, that will probably get you the responses you're looking for.
I'd give you my opinion, but it's obvious you're already   jk Actually, since this will be our first DCL cruise, I just don't know.

They used to allow you to change cruise date without loss of your discount and rebooking credit. However, there was a thread a few weeks ago saying that if you change your dates now, you lose your discount. Don't know what they do if you change your category.

When you rebook, you need to pay the $250 per person. You don't need to pay anything more until 60 days before the cruise...so I don't know why you'd want to upgrade and pay a little more multiple times. Pay the deposit, then 70 days out, pay the balance. I realize that we're not getting much interest now, but something is better than DCL holding your money for nothing. You can also transfer the ressie to a discount agent and get their discount also.

thanks mike;) I took your suggestion. The reason I want to keep pushing back the date is so I have enough time to save up for a Cat 1.

Has anyone used a rebooking discount on a Category 1 suite?

I know Disney doesn't offer travel agents discounts for them, so I'm wondering if they accept this discount for Cat. 1.

I tried to rebook a cat. 1 while onboard, but there wasn't any available when I wanted it. Donna, the rebooking CM said I could use the discount, but the next cat. 1 available was about 18 mos. out. I had no idea since I had just booked a cat.1 only 4 weeks out! I hope I helped.

mickey squared- was the category 1 worth the price? It is just a dream that's all...

The Cat 1 is awesome. Depending on how many people in your party, it may not be too terribly expensive as you pay the "high" rate only for the first 2 adults. The kids pay the kid rate based on their ages, and any additional adults pay the 3rd adult rate. SO...if you have 6 adults travelling, depending on season, etc. you may not pay much more than 3 cat 6 rooms. The suite holds 7 people. You just need to look at season, etc. For 2 people, yes, it is a lot. But 2 people don't need that much space (although DD thinks she needs the grand piano.)

Could I book this with justthe three of us and add on another couple later? I am assuming that with the kids if a add on any additional children realitively early we would probably be ok?

Yes, it was worth it, but now we cruise with 8 or 9 and need to book two cabins. Of course my kids are spoiled that they don;t even want to go to WDW anymore. They just want the "Mickey Ship"!

We rebooked onboard and then a few weeks later changed categories. They let us keep the discount and the room credit.
