Last night I got up at a really wierd hour to go downstairs for a drink. I step out of my bedroom into the hallway and come face to face with my dog coming the other way. Only she has a small chip bag (picture this) pulled all the way over her nose. So all you see are eyes. Eyes drop, tail goes between the legs. :rotfl2: Unfortunately I was half asleep or I would have grabbed the camera.

What have you caught your pet doing when they thought you weren't looking?

:rotfl2: OMG, I wish you had taken a picture. It sounds so cute!!!

(sorry, no pets here)

:lmao: I am laughing SO hard!!!!

Winnie has been quite stealthy. She even hides the evidence. I went food shopping, put the bags on the floor and started to unpack. When I was done I realized the Swiss cheese was not there, but it was on the receipt. I figured I left it by the cash register. Well, later that day I found the EMPTY wrapper under the couch!

The dog we had when I was growing up was not allowed on the couch (lab).

When we would get home, she would always be laying nicely on the floor, but there was always a warm spot on the couch!

We had a dalmatian, Harley, that used to love tissues :confused3 I could never figure out why I would come home and find them on the floor.

One day I'm on the phone with my father and Harley jumped on the couch and started stealing tissues from the box behind the couch. It was the pop-up kind and he was literally pulling them out with his teeth until I noticed what he was doing :furious: Needless to say, after that the tissue box was moved.

His other favorite was the cat box, but I won't gross anyone out with those lovely details and talks of stinky cat poop breath :rolleyes1

I always find Bogart trying to get into the trash can or into the hamper for dirty undies.

Every time we come home, our Basset gives us that "not me, I wasn't on the couch" look. What can you do? She knows she's in trouble, but obviously the experience is worth it. :)

Ash, you are scaring me with this picture! :scared1:

Yea, isn't it strange - how do you train them when they know they've done something wrong? Doesn't dog training emphasizes teaching them to recognize appropriate behavior? What about when they've done something wrong, but don't care :)

I can relate to the cat poop thing (doggies eat it), the "bathroom trash" problem (nuff said). Oh and the "warm spot" on the sofa had me :lmao: . They just don't have the "criminal mind" needed to pull stuff off.

Everyone LOVES that picture! :lmao:

We have just started letting our chocolate lab, Coco, sleep in the living room at night. Her crate was just getting too small for her.

Well, she knows that she is not allowed to go upstairs - but in the middle of the need we can hear her actually trying to sneak up the stairs!

She slowly goes 1 step at a time and then stops. We hear her collar every time she moves that slow. I think if she would just walk up the stairs we would never hear her, but when she tries to sneak it is very obvious what she is doing.

Actually, our current dog, Charlie, gives away his bad behavior as soon as we walk through the door. He'll do something stupid, like chew up a receipt and when we come home, he'll be hiding in the kitchen, literally shaking. I've never seen a dog with such a conscience before. Maybe Jiminy is his friend

I just knew my beagle was going to go into the garbage...We had pork chops, and the bones were sitting on top. I knew I had to throw the bag outside...but I had to use the bathroom. I heard him moving around when I was in there, and realized what he was doing.

Out I came, and there he was with the largest bone on the floor - he saw me coming around the corner, dropped the bone and took off to hide in my room.

Baaaaaaad dog!!!

Mine always tuck their tails or lay their ears down and do the 'army crawl' past me when they've done something bad. Then I know to go look for whatever evidence I can find to see what that bad thing was. Usually it's something like eating candy that the kids left out, or getting in to the garbage....etc.

Here is the latest from my dachshund and our Foster dachshund. They used their noses to open the cabinet under the sink and get to where their food was kept. They didn't know I was watching from around the corner LOL

When I was a teenager, we had a dog who was a black lab mix. We also had 3 cats. Of course, cats are cats, they jump everywhere and climb on everything. I think the dog thought she was a cat...one day, my mom and I came out to the dining room unexpectedly, only to find the dog had climbed onto the table and was walking around!!! When she saw us, her tail went right between her lega and her ears went down, it was so funny! She knew it was bad.
