So not to compete with other guests for dinner on Good Friday(Italy, Mama Melrose or Coral Reef) - what about Catalina Eddie's pizza ?

CS - so no ADR's needed.
Could we pay with our Chase Visa Disney Dream Reward Dollars ?

We could eat early - like 4:30 PM and then stand on line for the 7 PM Fantasmic (if offered) and get a snack.

:confused3 How big are the pizza's?
6" or 8" diameter - like personal pan pizza's at Pizza Hut ?
OR
a bit bigger like 10" in diameter ?

For Cheese Pizza with Salad @ $7.99 - not a bad price - with a drink maybe total $10 per person.

Do they taste good ?

Are they more deep dish (Chicago style) or flat (New York style) ?

I haven't eaten there in a few years but I seem to recall that it is typical Disney counter service pizza. Very bland and doughy. But not too bad. I think it is the same pizza almost everywhere - Pizzafari, Pizza Planet, and Catalina Eddie's! At least they all tasted the same to me.

I haven't had Mama Melrose pizza but if you are looking for pasta to do meatless at the studio's the food is OK. Kind of like overpriced Olive Garden. Nothing to write home about but edible.

If you're thinking of being at Epcot (you mentioned Coral Reef) have you thought of trying fish and chips in England? Or if you are at the MK they have a fried fish at Columbia Harbor. Also, at the Studios I think it is the ABC Commissary that has a fried fish and fry meal.

Are the hot italian sandwiches at Catalina Eddie's the same as the muffalatta at POFQ? I saw pictures and they looked exactly the same.
I liked the idea of the hot italian, but the POFQ sandwich we just tried in July was a bit too salty for me.

Just wondering if they are the same thing?

btw, you should be able to use the Disney Rewards Dollars everywhere at Disney (unless they don't have a credit card machine and the only place I can think of like that is the harmony barbar shop.)

The pizza at Catalina Eddie's is just like the pizza at every other CS place that serves pizza--mediocre, but edible. It's not NY thin crust and it's not Chicago deep dish. It's somewhere in the middle. It fits on an average sized paper plate, so it's probably 8". If you are ok with chain pizza (Pizza Hut, Domino's, etc) then it's fine. If you live in an area with lots of good owner operated pizzerias, it'll be a let down.

Thanks - my DS still wants Coral Reef - but with the 10-27-09 rush of ADR calls, if we can not get CR - then our evening plans will be DHS and Catalina Eddie's pizza, instead of Coral Reef and EPCOT.
