Go and buy a big wire dog crate to confine the cat to retrain it.
Make sure you stay on top of things with the UTI, getting her rechecked as needed. I would return to the vet to see how things are going medically.
If you keep your cat confined at night and while you are away it may help retrain your fur baby.
Also you did not mention if you had 2 litter boxes for your cats but if you do not I would get another one.
I agree with all of this. The wire crate will allow her to see what's going on (instead of being confined to the bathroom alone) but will contain her.
Definitely keep an eye on the UTI.
My son-in-law adopted a flame Siamese that he found in the parking lot at work. His eyes were almost completely shut due to infection and required surgery (he's great now though). They already had 4 cats, and this one was wetting outside the box. At first, they thought it was his health issues, but the vet told them they needed more littler boxes. That solved the problem completely.
Another reason to not get a cat..
Get a dog.. No need for litter boxes. Animals are meant to go outside the house...
Sorry, my house dog is pad trained (he generally does go outside if I'm at home). I sometimes have to work longer hours than normal, and I'm not going to have him developing kidney issues from trying to "hold it" if I'm running late. In fact, I told someone that these pads have kind of set me free. I never have to worry about rushing home to let him out (which I've always had to do in the past with my other house dogs).
